Very friendly - service minded staff. Great breakfast. Rooms small - but that's standard in the area - so it didn't bother me. I go to London at least twice a year & it's not the last time I stay at this hotel. Thank you Falcon Hotel

Location is Fantastic just accross the road form Paddington Station, staff very friendly when arrived.
Room was ok it was for 3 of us so one double bed and a single, the bathroom was tiny (bit like a caravan).
If your looking for a place to stay for one night and close to everything then its great, anymore than a night wouldnt be too good.
Tip bring your own pillow or pillowcases the covers arnt that great.
Cant comment of the breakfast but went accorss road for a lovely McDonalds, probably wouldnt stay again but booked up late and needed some accomodation for one night by the train station.

We have stayed in London quite a few times and for us the Falcon was by far the best, for value, cleanliness and genuine hospitality. We took Paddington Connect train from Heathrow and arrived at hotel within 30 minutes; 4 minutes walk from station. Included breakfast was great - fresh pots of tea/coffee arrived promptly at table, followed by full English cooked breakfast with lots of toast - you also helped yourself from the selection of croissants, cheeses, preserves, fruit salad and cereals - all delicious. What stood out for us in the Falcon was the friendliness of all the staff; nothing was too much trouble for them and they were so willing to give advise on underground and busses. Coffee and tea making facilities were available in our room, which had a double bed, large wardrobe and plenty of drawer space. Shower was excellent and the bathroom was certainly much larger than ones we had previously experienced in London. Free internet was a bonus. All in all this is a value for money hotel in a great location - loads of pubs and restaurants on doorstep; bus from McDonalds across the street will have you in Oxford Street within minutes, and the tube is on the Circle Line and very convenient.
We found a few negative reviews on Trip Adviser and all we can say to these people is that the Falcon is basically a Bed & Breakfast hotel, this is what you pay for - and we certainly got value for money. Loved it and we will be back. Wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else. Keep up the good work Falcon.

We were originally booked in a hotel round the corner but due to building works they'd transferred us to the falcon hotel. All I can say is a big thank you to the other hotel for making such a good decision. The rooms were very clean with a very clean en-suite nice filling breakfast in a light airy breakfast room and very friendly staff and in a quiet yet very busy location. Only 15 min walk to oxford street and hyde park and numerous pubs and restaurants within 2 mins walk along with paddington station, bus-stops and the open top bus tour. All at very reasonable price for the location.

I cannot understand the positive reviews for this hotel. I paid on arrival for three nights, but moved out after one night, so ended up paying for a second hotel, as they would not refund me. One word-grotty!
I definitely could not recommend this hotel.

This reviewer from Ireland here posted a review exactly one year after his alleged stay in with us and claims he checked out because we were so bad! We checked our records for any guests from Ireland who might have checked out early during the whole of previous year but found no such instance. We then emailed the guest via tripadvisor to tell us his reservation details so that we could confirm his stay with us. The guest did not reply.
We then wrote to tripadvisor to suggest that a reviewer has posted a review that was not actually his experience and was therefore against their guidelines. Tripadvisor asked us to leave a response here which we are doing now. What we suspect has happened is that this guest was actually staying at Falcon Inn, 2 kilometres from us in a similar postcode of the town, W9 (we are W2 area). That area is indeed grotty and the building is regretfully rather not looked after. For sure Falcon Inn is not actually a hotel but a few rooms on top of a public bar but on some internet sites represent it as Falcon Hotel (we have now complained to those sites under the Trade Description Act) and the reviewer, after a gap of a whole year between his stay and review, just searched for Falcon Hotel in London and left a review not realising the place he was staying in had nothing to do with us!!!

I spent 6 days in this hotel and I would say that it was a comfortable stay. I read about it in trip advisor and I found the reviews really helpful and pretty much covered what I should expect during my stay. The staff was excellent, very helpful and accommodating, especially for a first timer like me :-) Room was just enough for me (solo traveler), I slept very soundly, nice hot shower, my room and toilet was kept clean everyday. What can I say... It was a very pleasant stay.
