I stayed for a few nights at the Falcon- wonderful location, nice people at front desk- great breakfast---nice restaurants close by---Book early so as to avoid the stairs---there is no lift. I would be happy to stay there again- people are friendly and breakfast is great.

Room Tip: Lower floors--no lift

I stayed from 4th July to 8th July again namely for the Wimbledon Championships and again the staff and the Falcon Hotel never let you down. As reliable and as helpful as ever and the breakfasts continue to be simply just what the doctor order. And to top my trip of after years of going to Wimbledon, ANDY MURRAY IS THE CHAMPION! Hurrah!

The location was excellent! We stayed in another hotel in London, left London, then can back and stayed here before going home. This hotel is VERY close to the Paddington station so it was perfect for the end of our trip, our heavy bags, walking straight out of the Paddington station, half a block and we're there! Also walking distance from the Lancaster station. No elevator but that is normal for these types of hotels.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, a quiet friendly. They helped us book a shuttle back to Heathrow because we didn't want to drag our bags through the underground on the way home. (dragging your bags at the start of your trip is much easier than at the end of your trip!). We asked for a room with our own bathroom (toilet & shower) and we got it. Shower looked small but there was more room than it looked.

The rooms were average, and what we expected for the price. Very small, but clean. I would recommend this hotel if you're on a budget or for a short stay. We were there during their heat-wave and it was HOT, no air conditioning, but they were conscious of that did have a heavy-duty fan in the room which really helped. ALSO, they had a mini fridge in the lobby full of cold water bottles that we could buy then leaving in the mornings or at the end of the day. Only 50p. GREAT IDEA!! Thank you!!!

We stayed 3 nights and our schedule didn't allow us use of the breakfast room.

Wi-Fi worked EXCELLENT! no problems.

The hotel is in a good location, easy to get to the tube (2 mins walk) and there are lots of places to eat/drink/whatever in the area.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The hotel in itself is very typical London, a little bit dated, but nice enough. The rooms are small, it is just enough space for a bed, a chair and a TV.
Our room was on the top floor, and if you have any physical issues, you should request a room further down. The staircase is steep and cramped, and with luggage it can be quite difficult to climb them!

Good breakfast.

I would consider staying here again, due to the low price and the location.

Room Tip: Get one on the lower floors if you dont want to climb (really, it is like a climb) up the stairs.

The location is ok: close to the tube, close to Hyde Park (5 minutes walk) which is a certain advantage if you travel with your kid(s), and about 10 minutes to Oxford street
The staff was very helpfull. Nice people. The breakfast is really ok compared to what I've seen in other hotels in London. The room was small - but it's hard to find a normal room in London, at least at this price - and, most important, was cleaned each day.
My room was on the ground floor, facing the park, and it was ok (the room w

We've stayed at the Falcon hotel for two nights when in town for a concert. We booked a double room with bathroom outside. Check-in went fine although the staff member seemed rather unwilling to abandon his facebook account to check us in. The room itself was very small with hardly any room for our (small) bags and the bathroom was tiny. Our private bathroom - a little to our surprise - was three flights of stairs down. The word privacy is also subjective in this as the toilets are located right next to the stairs inbetween floors with a light wooden door as separation. Not very pleasant to be in this semi-broomcloset when other guests are going up and down the stairs.

As the building is old, some of the floors are sloping. Unfortunately our bed was on a sloping floor, meaning a sleep at an 82 degree angle instead of flat. The noisiness can also be a problem for other travellers although it didn't bother us.

On the upside, the location is great just off paddington with great eating & drinking just around the corner. The complimentary breakfast isn't great but will see you through the start of the day, and staff are generally very friendly and accommodating (if not on facebook).

All in all it was a little disappointing for us despite having the expectations to match the price and we will not be staying here again - we'll fork out £20 a night more for a bigger, fully en-suite room.

Room Tip: Go for the full en-suite rooms - no one wants to go down three flights of stairs at 4AM to use the b...

A reliable favorite - the management and staff of the Falcon continue to provide good service and great value.
The hotel is only two or three minutes walk from Paddington Main Line train station, and the Heathrow Express airport trains and the Tube.
Restaurants on their doorstep include an Indian, an Italian and a fish and chip shop, as well as a steakhouse and a couple of pubs.
Recommended.
