We had a layover from Heathrow -- in at 8pm and leaving at 11am . We took the Heathrow Express and then walked to the Falcon (5 minutes) and it worked out perfectly. We could have stayed at the airport, but wanted just a quick London pop before heading back to the U.S.
The Hotel is perfectly located by the station. Even though it's right by Paddington, the block it's on feels quiet and serene because of the park it faces. Our room had two large windows with a great view of the park. There are a number of average restaurants nearby. The little park is lovely, and the whole block feels like movie-set London.
The hotel itself is quite rundown... old carpeting, flimsy doors, tiny bathrooms with tiny towels. Still, for under 100pounds... the beds were clean and very comfy. The room was very quiet and on a pretty quiet street for London.
We would definitely stay here again-- and plan to next summer when we have another short stopover from Africa. The price is right, breakfast is decent, the location is perfect, and we slept well.More
