“Wedding Anniversary London Weekend”
Reviewed 4 May 2014 via mobile

Having trawled the likes of late rooms, last minute.com and looking for a hotel around Piccadilly, I went for The Cavendish, and we were not disappointed.

From our arrival to departure the reception staff where pleasant and very helpful to deal with our every need.

Having made the booking online I then called to mention that the weekend stay was to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary and it was left with the hotel. Well, upon arrival we were told that we had a room upgrade to the 12th floor with amazing views of the city, champagne on ice and decorative swans and rose petals on the bed (king size, amazing !!!)

Room was spotless, with as mentioned massive bed, shower or bath to choose from (and bath robes), room service with full English on the Sunday was a nice touch, Bose sound dock system, plus sky tv.

And the price for the weekend at £193 was great value.

Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning, as location for theatres is ideal and for the sites

I'm a regular to the hotels of central London and this is definite one of the good ones.

Service was excellent throughout, from check-in, to concierge, to the excellent service at breakfast (where they work really hard to always use your name!).

My room was on the 14th floor (great view!) and was very clean and comfortable (nice White Company toiletries!). The only downside with the room was it was next to the lifts and the walls aren't very well sound-proofed so not only could I hear the lifts but I could also hear every word being said in the room next door and the bathroom of the room on the other side (that must have been behind the lifts).

Overall I would still recommend the hotel based on service, location and comfort

Room Tip: Avoid the rooms next to the lifts

stopped at the Cavendish as part of a theatre weekend break package.
arrived early afternoon Friday and left bags.Returned teatime and booking was done quickly aND efficiently. First night stayed in room 204 - had problems with noisy / buzzing door lock / air con but rang reception during night and although it couldnt be sorted there and then the staff were polite and understanding.
Swapped to room 810 on Saturday morning no fuss very helpful staff again - thanks for the complimentary drink / offer card.
Both rooms gigantic / superb bathroom / nice touch with the toiletries and robes and slippers.
Sofa bed turned down every evening and put away for us in the morning.
Breakfast brilliant - really sets you up for the day around London.Great location all sites easily accessable by foot.. Would definiteky stay again.
Special thanks to Lotte on reception for sorting out the room change and the consergies for their advise on best ways around and their general friendliness.
Keep up the good work - hope to see you again when next in London.

Room Tip: the room on floor eight had excellent veiws.

This hotel is in a great location for all the sights of London. 5 min walk to Piccadilly Circus and located just behind Fortnum and Mason on Piccadilly. We arrived early on the Friday morning and left our cases and went out exploring. Check out was 11am on the Monday morning but we were able to leave our cases at the hotel until late afternoon. The staff were very friendly and helpful and our room on 14th floor was spotlessly clean with great view of London Eye. The rooms are a bit on small side but perfectly fine - we only slept there- good size bathroom and also iron and ironing board provided. We had pre theatre meal at the hotel and this was very good. There was a great choice of food for breakfast - buffet style and you could also order from menu. We had no problem getting a table for breakfast and found the service to be very efficient. We would recommend this hotel 100% and would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: higher floors have good views and are quieter. also avoid room numbers ending with 01 or 19. these r...

Excellent location, at the heart of the Piccadilly.

Service is excellent: everybody tries to be as helpful as possible, with a smile.
The rooms are modern and practical, the bed is comfortable.
I like the toiletry from "the White Company".
And there is free wifi, which is not always the case in hotels in London.

The only minus point: rooms are not very big, but I attribute this to 'London'

Stayed here for business a few days and pleasure a few more. Used the Cavendish meeting rooms to host some clients. I've done this in 2-3 other cities in Europe and can say the Cavendish had the best experience. From the initial reservation to the actual meeting-day execution, the Cavendish is nothing but impressive (particularly Amanda in their meeting room reservation department). Also a great location to restaurants, shopping, sites, tubes, etc. I'll definitely put this place on my list of recommendations for friends/clients/colleagues when they visit London.

Room Tip: Rooms near elevator aren't noisy at all. The rooms are setup where there is a bathroom between y...
