We wanted a central location in London where we could walk to various museums, shopping locations and the theaters. We averaged about five miles per day. The Cavendish was a perfect location for us. It is on a side street with very little traffic but only a block or two from main streets and Green Park. Although we did not use the Underground, a station is nearby.
Our room was well appointed and very clean. The staff was attentive when we contacted them.
The only blemish on our stay happened when we returned to Chicago. I discovered that a bar charge had been incorrectly added to my charge card after we had checked out. However, Roy Sommer, the Deputy Manager, was very prompt in correcting this mistake. In addition, he arranged to have the Hotel cover our transportation to the airport as a gesture of good will. It is clear that the Hotel takes the care and comfort of its guests very seriously and I would be happy to stay there again.More
