Dear Peter O,

Thank you very much for your great review and I hope you had a good trip to London and that your team won. Thank you for the great comments about the team, I know that both Reception and Concierge will be very happy with your comments. I am disappointed to hear about your comments about the bar team and will be sure to pick it up with the team.

We look forward to welcome you back in the near future.

Great place to stay when in London, vey friendly staff and a lovely meal. Little touches like an umbrella in the room, very useful! Baggage storage at no extra charge thank you!
Ideal location for the theatre and site seeing but manages to be a haven of quiet
Only downside was the room which was small, but only to be expected when in London, and the mattress was too soft for my liking.
Will stay again for sure

Dear Wendy C,

Thank you very much for your great review. The team put in a great deal of effort to focus on attention to detail and I know they will all be pleased that you really liked the small touches that are in place. I am sorry to hear that you felt the bed was to soft, we do have bed boards available on request to help firm up the mattress, but it would be great if you would be able to let me know the room number that you stayed in to ensure that the mattress is up to the standard it should be. My direct email address is neil.braude@thecavendishlondon.com

We hope that we can welcome you back in the near future.

Have stayed here many times and most recently in January. All in all this is such a good place. Always seem to have some good deals on. So close to everything as well. Opposite Fortnum and Mason and just 15 - 20 mins walk from Harrods and Harvey Nics. Staff were all really helpful and room was fine. Only comment is that the bar area is a bit small and lacks atmosphere. I am sure they could sort that out and maybe even have that area upstairs as its much bigger. Anyway all great.

Dear HampshireNat,

Thank you very much for your great review. We do often have special offers available to both our guests on our database as well as on our Tripadvisor home page. Thank you for your feedback regarding the bar, we have done some work in the early part of the year to help the atmosphere but we are always working on ways to improve both atmosphere and drinks we offer.

We hope that we can welcome you back in the near future to see some of the changes we have made.

We recently stayed at the Cavendish when we were in London for the weekend. The hotel was easy to find and is really close to Piccadilly tube station.
After the hustle and bustle of the city, it was lovely to reach the hotel and find it was in a really quite party of London
We were welcomed by the receptionist who chatted and asked about our journey as she checked us in.
We stayed in room 317 which is a one of the hotel's classic rooms. The room itself was really nice. The bed was huge, the TV had plenty of channels and there was also free Wi-Fi
We didn't have any kind of view to write about - being on the 3rd floor we just had another building to look at but we didn't mind
The only real niggle with the room is the bathroom. Their isn't a bath, only a walk in shower which doesn't have a door, only a curtain which doesn't go to the floor so each time you shower the whole room floods. I think it's supposed to be a wet room but the room is too small for this as the water doesn't run away quickly enough and leaves the whole floor wet so if someone has a shower before you and you want to use the room you will have wet feet!
Also, there aren't any shelves or storage space in the bathroom so you have nowhere to put any of your toiletries or make up
That said, the toiletries provided smelt beautiful and the towels were plentiful and really fluffy
We only stayed on a room only basis so I can't comment on the breakfast
I would recommend a stay at the Cavendish, just make sure you don't get room 317 if you want to stay dry!

Dear missy3105,

Thank you very much for your review and feedback it is really appreciated. We are delighted that you really like the hotel and our great location, especially that we are in walking distance to so many attractions but just off the main road making it very quiet.

Thank you for your feedback regarding the bathroom it is really appreciated. With there not being any shelves as this is certainly something we will look at putting in,

We hope that we can welcome you back on your next visit to London.

One night stay, mid-week. Great location, friendly staff, superb breakfast. Loved the decor. Room service prompt. Very little noise at night from traffic, mattress superior - I got a good nights sleep. Check out quick and easy. Not sure what else I'd want, really, it was all good.

I originally stayed at the Cavendish as it was on special offer and we needed a central London hotel either side of of a long haul flight to and from Heathrow. It turned out to be a brilliant decision as the hotel was fantastic, the staff were friendly and efficient and seemed to be a steady calm head of what can be a chaotic city! The rooms were modern and clean and our room was on a quiet corner so a good sleep guaranteed. The breakfast was varied and tasty and the location you can't really beat within walking distance to a lot of attractions and near a tube station. Would strongly recommend.

Room Tip: one not facing oxford street will be quieter

We stayed here with our sons and daughters and their partners for a couple of nights in August. As has been said before the location is excellent. Whilst the tube is a great way to get around in London, you can miss so much. By staying at the Cavendish you have the opportunity to walk to many of the attractions and soak up the atmosphere of London. That said, it is only a short walk to Green Park tube in one direction and Piccadilly in the other. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms some say are small but we found them perfectly fine and well thought out. Everyone in our group thought the beds extremely comfortable. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but had bar snacks on arrival at the hotel which were well presented and very tasty. I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning.
