“Wonderful boutique hotel”
Reviewed 24 June 2013

This is a lovely property in a great location. Had a private suite which looked over a lovely gated garden opposite. Wonderful comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom. Delicious breakfast. Service is exemplary. Will definitely return.

This was our first stay at Egerton House Hotel but hopefully not the last! From the moment we walked in jetlagged from our long flight to the moment we left, we felt right at home in this small, darling, exquisitely British hotel. The hotel staff immediately took our bags, served us hot tea and homemade cookies and provided us a small room to shower and change since it was early morning and our room wouldn't be ready until early afternoon. The service was on this level the entire stay. The staff was most helpful in providing directions, obtaining tickets and making restaurant recommendations and reservations. Our room was a true gem decorated with a mix of modern and antiques, beautiful bed covers and pillows, original art on the walls, and it overlooked a beautiful green, lush garden. Its location is perfect and is within a 5 minute walk to Harrods, museums, good restaurants, local shopping and two metro stations. Egerton House Hotel breakfasts are not to be missed! Nor is the tiny bar tucked in the rear of the smallish parlor where we found a wonderful wine list, great food and two of the best bartenders in London! The best word to describe the hotel, its staff and level of service is superb. This is the place to stay on your next trip to London.

Dear Guest,

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback following your visit to The Egerton House Hotel and I am delighted that you plan on returning and we look forward to welcoming you back. I am very pleased to hear that we were able to offer you a complimentary room on your early arrival. It makes all the difference to be able to freshen up after a long flight and makes for a good start to your vacation. We have an extremely dedicated team of people who take great pride in looking after our guests and their needs and I am happy that we dealt with all you requests for tickets restaurant reservations and any other enquiries you may have had. Also pleased that you liked your room and it’s decor and the view of the beautiful garden at the back of the property. We are located in a residential area close to Harrods and the lovely shops on Brompton Road and close to lot’s of museums and the underground.

Antonio & Esley are indeed 2 great barmen, known predominantly for their martini’s but we also have a very extensive wine list and it is rather nice to be able to sit in the bar and relax with a nice chilled glass. I have passed your kind feedback to all the team who really do appreciate it and we do hope that we will be able to welcome you back on a future so we can make your next stay another memorable one.

Warm regards

My wife and I stayed here in June and will return. Though the rooms are a bit small, the staff are terrific - they went way out of their way to be helpful. And the location couldn't be better, with great restaurants and great shopping just around the corner, Hyde Park and the V&A Museum just a few easy blocks away.

I've stayed a couple of times at the Egerton House taking advantage of their offer to stay 3 nights for the price of 2. Both times we stayed in a junior suite. The rooms are well appointed and furnished to make you feel like you are stepping back in time to a more civilised age. However, the room that we stayed in on the top floor was slightly smaller than the room that we had on second floor, and was a bit cramped with too much furniture.

The staff are extremely pleasant to deal with and took care of anything we needed during our visit. There is a cozy bar on the ground floor that is a nice spot to unwind for a jet-lagged traveler. I especially liked the little snacks that they provided in the lobby like almonds or granola bars which recharged me when I returned after a long day.

The hotel is very conveniently located on a quiet side street in Knightsbridge about a 5 minute walk to the closest tube station. There is a restaurant in the lower level of the hotel, but I wasn't impressed with the breakfast. I found it expensive for what we got and there are many better options close by.

I think the secret of this hotel and others in the group is the fact that they make you feel welcome and at home during your stay.

Dear Guest,

Thank you far taking the time to post your feedback on the site following your stay at The Egerton House Hotel and I am delighted you had a memorable stay with us. I am sorry to hear that you felt that the suite we assigned to you on your second visit was a bit smaller and a little cramped. They do slightly vary in size but I am glad that you thought that they were well appointed.

I am delighted to hear that you were well looked by all the team and that you felt comfortable in our cosy drawing room and appreciated the complimentary snacks that we provide for our guests daily.

I do hope that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back on a future visit and please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of assistance at any time.

Rooms are very comfortable and well decorated. The staff is superb, so helpful and friendly. The breakfast every morning was great. Each area of the hotel is very beautifully decorated and very special. There's also a nice tea room /bar. We enjoyed coming back after dinner out and stopping in for a night cap, our bartender was the best.

We had a fantastic stay on the night of our wedding. The whole team made us feel so welcome, with assistance before and after. They provided all the little touches that make a good stay a great one, including an upgrade, and made it feel like we were the the only guests! It was a beautiful and luxurious room, and we hope to come back on day on another special occasion.
