Best Western Burns Hotel Kensington

First room was a single and was very small but having said that was clean and comfortable. I moved to a twin for the next two nights as I was sharing with a friend and this room was lovely with French doors opening onto the garden. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I would have no hesitation in staying here again when visiting London. Earls Court tube was no more than 2 minutes walk away but because the hotel is down a side road it is quiet and away from the noise of Earls Court Road.

The staff at this hotel were very helpful, the facilities were clean, non smoking and a great location from the Tube station, grocery store, Mac machine, bike rentals, etc. to make our trip abroad very comfortable and convenient.

Good location near the Underground. Nice neighborhood with lots of restaurant choices. Friendly staff, everyone we dealt with there was really nice, especially the bartender. Breakfast was ok. Wifi was not very good, but I wasn't here to work. Lovely and safe area to walk around.

Room Tip: We had a room with just a shower stall but there are rooms available with full tubs if that is what...

The service and experience here is amazing. If you want to stay in a hotel that looks like the mansions in chelsea, stay here. Beds are comfortable and in walking distance of it all. However, the wifi here is slow and drops all the time. Services are quick, the rooms are clean and updated. Have not tried the food.

I stay in London for business quite frequently, and usually book at the Best Western Boltons hotel, which is just round the corner from the Burns - unfortunately I wasn't able to get in on this occasion so opted for the Burns instead. The Boltons is a much higher standard; I was disappointed to find that a "double" room at the Burns meant it had a double bed but no room for a bedside table. The rooms are not air conditioned, which means you have to have the window (single glazed) open if you want any ventilation. In fact, the bathroom window wouldn't close so was permanently open. This is the only London hotel I've stayed in recently which levies a charge for use of the in-room safe - which seems rather unnecessary and penny-pinching. Overall the room was comfortable and clean, but not nearly of the same standard as the Boltons. I doubt I'll be going back.

Room Tip: I was in 105 - at the front of the hotel, looking over the road. No air conditioning means you have...
