“Very small room and hot ”
Reviewed 25 July 2014 via mobile

The flight centre booked this hotel for me saying it was good and comfortable. I can only come to 2 conclusions one is they don't travel much or it was an out and out lie the room I stayed in was as big as a walk in robe on the topfloor I had no room to unpack. I had to prop my window open with a book to get any air My wardrobe came with breakfast the breakfast was. Under cooked and over priced. It is in a great spot but it is very tired . I will be seeing my travel agent and will be making a formal complaint I really don't understand the 3 star rating it should be 2 and that is genorous
.

This hotel is very clean the staff helpful and it is in a prime location. The room was a little small but fine, well decorated and maintained, with a very comfortable bed. It represents good value and is quiet and relaxed environment.

We just stayed for one night as my companion had a hospital appointment at the Brompton. We found that we had been upgraded to one of the twin rooms overlooking the gardens at the front. The room was very clean and comfortable and of a good size. The on suite bathroom was large and a pleasure to use. We kept our windows open as otherwise the room could possibly have been a bit hot due to the recent very warm weather. Obviously, you hear a bit of talking and laughing from the workers and delivery people in the street below but it didn't bother us, after all it is London! We both really enjoyed our breakfasts the next morning and the staff were very attentive and we lacked for nothing. Reception staff were very helpful, and we were made to feel welcome and relaxed. There are loads of shops just down the next corner including an M&S Food Hall. We intend going back to this hotel if the hospital visits require us to make further overnight stays. The hotel has a lovely old Edwardian London feel about it which I really liked.

We stayed at the Burns Hotel on a recent trip with our grandchildren, ages 6, 8, & 10. We had to get two rooms, which is common for the UK, since they think a "family" is only four people.

The Burns has a GREAT location in Kensington and is a very short walk from the Earls Court Underground or "Tube" station.

The rooms were typically small but very clean. Breakfast was good and plenty of it. The staff was outstanding in every aspect.

We liked the Burns so much that we are staying there again in October on our next visit, as well as in June when we return with the Grandkids.

I stayed at this hotel during the Wimbledon championships. It's very close to Earl's Court tube, and close to many shops/restaurants/pubs etc.

The room was a little on the small side and did not have any air conditioning making it very warm during the time I was there. I also found the wi-fi a little temperamental.

Overall it's an average hotel in a good location.

Booked this hotel for a 2 night stay whilst in London in June. We chose this hotel for easy access to Wimbeldon, which it proved to be. Our room was average size, although a rather small double bed. Creaky floors was rather annoying. The bathroom was a good size and clean. Breakfast service very quick, only complaint was the toaster took a very long time. The waiting staff were very efficient. The lift was out of order during our stay but fortunately our room was only 1 floor up. The nearest tube station is Earls Court which is easy to get to from Heathrow Airport. All in all a pleasant stay.

Stayed 3 nights, nice but small room (although one of the biggest) Free WiFi good, Continental Breakfast with good variety and plenty of it. Staff looked after bags as early check in not an option.
Safe in room available at a cost which is a first in many years. Anyway it did not work so it was academic. Alternative was a box at reception with one pound charge every time it was accessed.
Quiet room at back of hotel away from lifts.
Proximity to pubs, supermarket, good cafes and the Tube made it a perfect location. Would stay there again.

Room Tip: High floor away from lifts
