“Fantastic location, super helpful staff, great value”

We don't check out until tomorrow but this was a review that had to be done! Wonderful, friendly staff ready to help with whatever we need. Complimentary glasses of champagne daily. Little gifts left on the nightstand every day. Superb location. This was our second stay in London. The first time we avoided the tube because it was intimidating. But this hotel is so close to a tube station, we gave it a whirl and so glad we did! Such a bargain! Avoid the cabs and take the tube! We told them it was our honeymoon and they upgraded us to room 107. Awesome L-shaped room with 2 tv's, 3 phones, and a sitting room. Not your average London hotel room. We have been so pleased! The ONLY negative I can think of is that the traffic is rather noisy but whose fault is that? We'll be back!!

First, I want to say that I researched hotels for several days as I wanted someplace safe for my teenage daughter and I to stay. I had been to London several times before, but always with my husband. I chose the Ashburn after reading numerous pages of great reviews. They did not disappoint. One block from the Gloucester tube, close to a Waitrose grocery store and short walks to shopping and restaurants. Always helpful if we needed a car to get somewhere quick vs. the tube. Breakfast was continental but very filling...croissants & coffee were very good with cute french presses. They gave a very good recommendation of a restaurant on Gloucester, Coco Momo, the first day we arrived. A couple of days when we were tired of walking, we bought food items at the store nearby and just relaxed in the room, which was plenty big for two. Deep bathtub for soothing tired legs! On our last day, we were able to leave our bags after checkout time. We asked for a car to take us to Paddington Station vs. tube at a certain time, as we had extra bags after great shopping. We were a bit late returning after a great lunch at Cicchetti's (near Picadilly tube...A MUST!), but the driver was still waiting for us. SO appreciated that he ended up taking us directly to Heathrow for much less hassle. If you decide to stay at this hotel, ask them to have a driver pick you up at the airport vs. a roundtrip ticket to Paddington. Much easier and you get to see a little bit of London. Thank you so much for a great stay!

Room Tip: We had the fourth floor toward the end and was very quiet. On a couple clear nights, we could see t...

Just right around the Glouchester Road tube station exit you can easily find this hidden gem -right beside Holiday Inn in Kensington. Very homely to be and one can enjoy a free Champagne from 7 to 8 in the evening. Shops and restaurant around this hotel for convenience and the grandeur of the inside reflects the contemporary English character. A bit pricey on the budget but it's worth it - staff are courteous and friendly.

This was my first trip to London and the Ashburn was a great place to call home while in London. Room was clean and surprisingly large, staff was very helpful and the breakfast was very good. Definitely would stay at the Ashburn again.

We absolutely loved the location. Walked to many places and a tube location with three lines was a block and a half away at Gloucester Road. Staff was very enjoyable. Nice linens. Room a bit small but good value. Breakfast very good. Paper at door every morning. Try Ask an Italian restaurant near by. Really worth a stay

Having never been to London it was all a crapshoot but I think we lucked out with the Ashburn. Literally 1 short block to Gloucester tube station. Grocery store Waitrose there too for wine, cheese, bread or whatever snacks for your room. Room nice quiet and clean. Big fluffy bathrobes to use, nice shampoo, etc and a cute little gifts from housekeeping each day. Staff friendly and helpful, especially breakfast girl. Free wifi too! We really liked it. Oh and recommend the Ask Italian for yummy, actually really yummy dinner. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.
