“Great Location”
Reviewed 15 June 2014

My husband and I stayed there for 7 days, the apartment was excellent we had a little balcony to sit out on and a glass of red in hand. Out the back of the apartments was a lovely secluded garden with table and chairs. The main room was very roomy tastefully decorated every thing to cook a meal in if needed, the only negative was the bathroom it was very!!! very!!!! small personally I hate small bathrooms, but I dealt with it, as there we more positives than negatives. There were so many great restaurants in the area and quaint pubs, all in walking distance.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony room

We stayed at Studios2let for a one night stay before catching the Eurostar. The location was excellent for this purpose as only a 5/10 min walk to the station. Having checked out the studio2let website and also Tripadvisor we were well aware of what to expect regarding the room sizes, but to be honest we were happy with the size of our room. No the bed isn't huge, but is a standard size double, and comfortable. The room was spotlessly clean. The shower, another area that I'd seen complaints about was also very useable, but I can see that if you're on the larger side of normal you may have a problem.
We were on the top floor which was a bit of a pain, and I'd definitely advise anyone with mobility problems to ask for a room lower down. Luckily for us, the lovely young man who showed us to our room took my case from me and took it to our room.
The down sides are definitely the stairs, the blinds at the windows are not sufficient to stop the light coming in, this morning by 5am. The kitchen sink isn't user friendly, being right in a corner, but we knew that before we booked. The stair carpets are showing signs of wear, but are safe.
Would we stay here again? Well, more than likely.

Had a pleasant stay last time we stopped in a top floor apartment. This time we had a basement room, nothing wrong with room apart from it could have done with a layout change (a bit awkward), also I don't know what was going on with the drainage but it every time upstairs flushed the toilet or had a shower you could hear the water running down the wall directly behind our bed, but I can live with that. What I can't live with is the noise from the cleaners as their storage rooms were near to our room, so we have talking outside and doors closing on a regular basis. Then we have some idiot conducting hotel management business, very loudly, right outside our room on a mobile phone on more than one occasion. Why he had to conduct his business in the basement right outside customers rooms is anybody's guess.
The worst though was the last day of our stay, being woken up by workmen shouting and swearing loudly outside our window, then proceeding to full on hammer drill into the outside brickwork of our apartment. How much of an effort would it have been to inform us there was going to be building work going on...not much. Like I said in the title, a lack of respect to paying customers. Gave 2 stars as the rooms are very clean, such a disappointment.

Room Tip: Don't go in the basement.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for the review on your stay and for the constructive criticism. We are sorry to hear that your last stay wasn't as enjoyable as the previous one.

Regarding the housekeeping staff we have spoken with them and made them aware that loud conversations close to the guests studio flats are not acceptable and we are sorry if it disrupted you while you stayed with us.

If we were aware of all these the disturbances during your stay we would certainly do our best to reallocate you. As it is our priority to make all our guests feel like at home.

At the moment there are no on-going building works taking place on site however it might be the neighbouring building so we are unsure about your claim that someone from the hotel management was outside your window though it might have been a guest of the property and again I’m sorry that this wasn't brought to our attention at the time and we would have asked him to move away from your window.

Once again we do apologise for the inconvenience that occurred during your stay, but in future I would advise to contact the reception desk and they will do their best to resolve the problems.

Kind Regards,

Martyna

Chose this hotel for the price and for the mini-kitchen it offered and we were there for 5 nights. For someone with dietary restrictions it is nice to have a refrigerator. We chose the Executive studio in order to have a little more space and it was the perfect amount. The bathroom was a bit snug, but it was workable. The staff is basically there to check you in and check you out, so don't expect too much. That includes keeping your room tidy because they aren't going to clean it for you during your stay. The rooms did not have blackout curtains, so either plan to be up with the sun or have a sleep mask.

The neighborhood is nice. There are convenience stores, pubs and restaurants very close by and a couple of blocks away is a shopping center with a grocery store. Just beyond that is a the Russell Square tube stop with access to the Picadilly line, which we used the most. The Euston Station tube stop is also close. Both the Euston and St. Cross-Pancras Stations are very convenient for rail access. The British Library is walking distance and is worth a trip.

My wife and I stayed here on a recent trip to London. Location was excellent for transport either wanting the buses or trains - 5 min. walk to St. Pancreas subway station or Russell Square subway station.Beautiful view from the window of room 28 on Cartwright Gardens. The room are small (especially the bathroom), but cozy, well-appointed: there is electric stove, microwave, kettle, toaster, small fridge and freezer. Nearby a shopping center the Brunswick where a supermarket Waitrose you can buy by for breakfast and lunch foods. In walking distance of the British Museum, very easy to find. Area and liked the hotel, next time stay here.

I've stayed here a few times whilst working in London. These are so much better than a hotel room. You get a lovely room, which is furnished to a high standard with modern fittings and decor. In the room you have a mini kitchen area with a fridge/freezer, microwave, sink, kettle, toaster. Complete with crockery, cutlery and glasses. On the otherside you have a very comfy double bed with lovely bedding, a bedside table and a unit with shelving, TV and DVD player. Double wardrobe space with hairdrier and a safe. There is a shower room with lots of complimentary items, shampoo, conditioner, mini toothbrush and paste etc.
The rooms have lovely sash windows which open up with views of a small park area.
The studios are compact but it's all you need!
At the back of the building there is a lovey oasis with gardens, tables and chairs, perfect for warm summer evening. Cartwright Gardens is a 7 min walk from Euston Station, very easy to find.

Room Tip: I like rooms which are on higher floors, for the lovely views across the park, however there are no...

The rooms are small (like cruise line cabin) but are very clean. Rooms have microwave, small fridge and freezer. Grocery store close by for breakfast items and for making take along lunches for our sightseeing. Ideal location - 5 min. walk to St. Pancreas subway station ( a major station) and several pubs within a 5 minute walk as well. "Good area of town."

Room Tip: Four story walk-ups. No elevators to best to try to get lower level rooms.
