Enjoyed a deluxe room for four nights. Yes, smallish size by western standards- but well laid out and nicely adorned. Very comfortable beds, linens, etc. Hotel staff were always friendly and helpful. Excellent location!

Dear sugarae23,

Greetings from the Mandeville Hotel.
Thank you very much for sharing your feedback with us.

We have shared your kind comments with our team who were thrilled to read about your experience.
We do feature a variety of different room types, maybe a Junior Suite would be more appealing to you. It has all features from the Deluxe rooms but with that little bit extra, including a sitting room with its own guest cloakroom.

Please do not hesitate to contact us at your convenience for any further queries.

We are looking forward in welcoming you back.

This is a must if you want to be in the heart of the West End and get to relax. It is so well suitated. All of the staff were so helpful and friendly. Our room was very well equipped, a large bathroom with a walk in shower and a bath. We were on the first floor over looking the front of the hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the use of space was well thought out.
The staff were very attentive all our needs were completely meet with a smile. I would definitely recommend the bar, it has a lovely atmosphere. We also had some of the bar food which was very good.
The concierge Mr Ian Grainger was an absolute gem, nothing was a problem for him. He is a very pleasant person to deal with.
The only disappointment we had was that we didn't stay for longer, I will definitely be staying at The Mandeville again.

I recently retunred from a 3 night stay at the Mnadeville Hotel London, and probably my tenth time staying at this hotel. You will find the hotel is very central to the shopping disctrict of Oxford Street, around the corner from Selfridges and central to some wonderful restuarants close to St Christophers Place.
The staff are always friendly , welcoming and go the extra mile for any small request you might have! The hotel has two parts, the older slightly smaller rooms , but beautifully furnished, each with a nice Nespreso machine, dressing table and double size bed, if you do get a room in this part of the hotel, try and get a corner room, it is slightly bigger with more window allowing natural light.
But for the same price, you can request the newly refurbished side of the hotel, wheher you will find more modern rooms which are much bigger.
The conciege manager , has been working at the hotel for close to 16 years now, and his knowledge of London is impressive, anything you need, albeit site seeing, shopping , travel directions , taxi or bus or tube station, theater tickets , he will organise or advise you.
The hotel General Manager , i often see in and around the hotel, quietly unobtrusive, and keeping a watchful eye on things....
There is a very nice bar lounge area downstairs , which is great for a business meeting, or a quiet cup ofmorning tea or coffee, and does get rather busy at the usual cocktail hour.
All in all , The Mandeville Hotel - is a great stay, if you plan spending a few days or more in London.

Room Tip: Read my report, it does explain about the new and old part of the hotel, but both sies are nice!

I am completely surprised to see such wonderful reviews for this hotel when my experience was so terrible.
I stayed here for 3 nights on the last leg of a month throughout the UK in January.
Upon check in staff were lovely and attentive however this is where it ended!
Our "Superior Room" was anything but superior!! The room was tiny and for two women and two Suitcases don't expect to be able to move.
Our room located on Floor 1 was based right over the rubbish dump and throughout the night the street noise was unbearable! In addition to the street noise, the smell of hotel staff smoking below came through the windows. At 12:30am I could handle it no longer and requested to be moved, this was impossible as according to the reception the hotel was 100% at capacity. Nevertheless the following day our request was granted and now, instead of being on top of the rubbish dump, this room now had the view into the rubbish dump. The only exception was the double glazing windows which avoided the smell of smoke for our remaining stay.
Concierge staff were rude, never once opened a door for us or welcomed us into the hotel! When I kindly asked for a map of the area I was briskly handed, an A3 version with no assistance on where the hotel was located in comparison to the area.
Breakfast, well, don't bother. A 10 minute wait for some toast, or 3 types of cereal and some fruit. Not worth the money.
Seriously would not bother returning here, over priced, rude, and I will be surprised if this review is even published.

We're Dutchies enjoyed our stay! The upgrade was a very good advice, especially the walk in shower! The room was lovely, clean, comfortable and the bed was a treat.
And not unimportant to mention the Italian BARTENDER was a expert. Yes in CAPITALS.
Don't forget to check the bar would be my advice. Just for one....
