Was the only room I could get at the time I stayed. The single toom is reasonable value with a double bed it is really quite small. However when I paid the extra and moved to the double room- found I was much happier. Actually reasonably quiet for the location and reasonable breakfast.

We looked for a location near to Lords Cricket Ground where we were due to attend a morning/ lunchtime function.Four of us (two couples) had decided to stay overnight on the evening before..The staff were most welcoming, friendly and informative. The hotel room was clean well decorated with all the facilities needed for an overnight stay. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice all the other guests had happy smiles.Parking was an issue as the neighbouring car park was being refurbished but we were directed by the reception to a nearby car park less than five minutes walk away
We were recommended this hotel group by a business contact and have stayed in a sister hotel before .We will highly recommend it to others and will stay again
I was so happy to read your lovely feedback following your recent stay with us.

One night Saturday stay in London. Found this place on a price comparison site that showed a discount from £220 to £99. Too good to believe? Well yes it was. Would normally stay at the Hilton Met or one of the other larger chains, but London was busy due to a major demonstration of the people :-).
First impressions: Not a bad location for central London - quickish walk to the shopping areas such as Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Rd, and not much further to Chinatown and Soho - let's say 20 mins to Soho. The outside of the hotel is very well cared for in its terraced position in a quiet street and beautifully presented with hanging baskets that obviously have taken much work to install and take care of. The foyer is small but functional.
Checkin: Very nice chap, quick, efficient. Presented with a key (not a keycard) that was attached to a MASSIVE perspex fob. Quite amusing; no way was that going in my pocket. Quickly realised that one was expected to leave the key with the hotel. I remember when this was a very common happening, but in more recent decades less so. I did feel a little less secure as I saw people ask for a room key and just be handed it with no further checking. But hey, the room has a safe.
The elevator: INCREDIBLY small. Reminded me of the type still seen in crowed European cities such as Amsterdam, but it worked without problem; quite slow.
The Room: SPOTLESSLY clean but very small. To be expected in a major city. Bathroom also small but clean with an enclosed shower unit. It was CLEAN! The bed was WONDERFULLY comfortable with crisp spotless sheets.
The Next Morning: A very PEACEFUL night and good sleep. Saturday was a little tiring and yes there were a few drinks so very much looking forward to a good breakfast. What? Breakfast stops at 9am? On a SUNDAY? Not good! OK! So we missed brecky! Time for a hot refreshing shower - water on! Wait! Wait! Wait! Clear that there is no hot water in the system or we have been sold a duff room.
- A listed price of £220 per room per night - clearly very stupid and cannot be true. I could get a five star hotel for that. This is misleading and therefore dishonest. Not OK!
- £99 for a double room in centralish London for one night - That's OK.
- Clean although small - That's OK.
- Breakfast finishing at 9am on a Sunday - definitely NOT OK. Never been to a London hotel that has such an early finish on a Sunday.
- NO HOT WATER - a disaster.
So would I stay again? No! Which is a shame, as they clearly try very hard to make things right.
Thank you very much for writing review about the Blandford Hotel. I would like to reassure you that we take all our guest comments very seriously. Whilst I am delighted to note that we fully met your expectation in terms of cleanliness and location I am sorry to read that you were not happy with the breakfast timings and hot water.
Our breakfast ends at 9:30 am and we never had any complaints from our guests about this but we will review our timings. Regarding hot water sometimes in the morning when everyone is using hot water it might take a while but let me assure you we have checked it thoroughly to ensure this has been fully addressed.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused and I truly hope to welcome you back at the Blandford Hotel.
The hotel is very well situated near good shopping , restaurants, bars and Baker St Tube Station. The rooms are reasonably small, but very clean and good value. The English breakfast is filling and ok.
