“OK - bit noisy”

decent sized, and clean rooms.
avoid being next to lifts or squeaky corridor doors
a "quiet floor" would be good (or a "families/babies/noisy people floor")
I wasn't tempted to use the noisy bar or restraurant

We recently booked into this hotel for a night and paid over £120 only to get a room with no tea/coffee makings (and listening to the complaints at reception this was common place) also the tap was hanging off in the sink so that you had to hold it on with one hand while operating it with the other, a sure sign that the hotel is poorly maintained. Our complementary toiletries consisted of one small bottle (and I mean small) of shampoo.
All in all very poor quality, I have stayed in better run and equipped hostels.

I had read the Tripadvisor reviews earlier, so wasn't so disappointed, when found a very small room with a terrible view. No hair dryer, no soap, no electricity!!! They only fixed it the next day! There is also no cloak room for you luggage. But the hotel is near Soho, near the shopping areas and theathers. Everything at walking distance.
I was told to have no breakfast there, so I avoided it. At the bar you can't charge the drinks on your room. Beer was ok!
Compared to the hotel prices in London generally, the room price was quite cheap. You have pay more for better quality!

Hotel is in a great location for West End and Restaurants but...
Only one person serving behind the bar on a Friday night when 16 people are waiting for drinks is just not adequate. Tables were littered with Pizza boxes, empty glasses etc. I felt the dance/rave/thud (Radio) music did nothing in terms of creating a pleasant late night drinking area, but just added to the frustration of waiting to get served.
Superb staff who are obviously working under pressure are an asset to Travelodge-but please don't take them for granted as they deserve a bit more respect.
Breakfast was superb value £7.69 but could be improved by hot plates and cooked breakfast items being kept hotter.
4 seater tables need to be spaced out so that customers can enter and exit tables (Once you are in and someone sits behind you it is impossible to get in or out)
Please replace plastic shower curtains with glass doors-it is a pet hate of mine to have a cold shower curtain stick to you when taking a shower, and although would take longer for room service to clean-are more hygienic for your customers and means there is less chance of slipping on a wet floor when exiting the shower.
I would stay here again but would say customers need to treat the place with a little more respect.
Empty sweet wrappers, crisps, take away noodles in the lift and on public corridor floors makes it look untidy when house keeping is actually first class.
I heard some idiot complaining to reception that the bacon was sliced too thinly at breakfast- if you cant just help yourself to more bacon then perhaps you should stay somewhere else at twice the price.
Well done Travelodge Staff!
Directors/management please invest in more staff!

Room Tip: Top floors are quieter-we slept next to lift shaft but was still amazingly quiet for central London.

I stayed here whilst at a conference at Earls Court. Ordinarily this wouldn't have been a problem (25 mins on the District line) but the tube strike meant a disrupted journey and quite a bit of walking.

The hotel's location on Holborn/Drury Lane is mere moments away from the heart of London's theatreland, with plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby. Having said this, I didn't find the room too noisy at night.

Check-in was a pleasant experience - Mr. T (yes, really) was incredibly helpful and combined my two separate bookings into one to ensure I wouldn't have any issues during my two-night stay.

The room was typical Travelodge style. Utilitarian but ultimately warm, clean and comfy. Unlike in previous Travelodge stays, this time a little bottle of hand/hair/body wash was supplied. You'll probably prefer to bring your own though.

I didn't eat in the hotel restaurant as there's pubs and retaurants all over Covent Garden and Chinatown. For breakfast, there's a multitude of places that serve coffee and pastries from the early hours. Don't feel that you need to eat at the hotel as the safe option, although if it's anything like other Travelodges the menu will be perfectly reasonable.

Room Tip: The higher the better to avoid noise from the road and revellers. Remember you're in central Lon...

Perfectly situated for many of London's attractions, 2-3 minutes to Covent garden, 7-8 minutes to Leicester Square and many theatres within a few minutes walk and shopping on Oxford St just 10 mins away. Stayed here last year as well and hope to stay again in the future.

Have just spent a night at the Travelodge Covent Garden. It was so centrally placed, easy to find and despite being a large building the room itself was very quiet and clean. Thoroughly recommend it. So easy to check in too.
