Yes I was worried that this hotel might be in the wrong place or the bed and room might be too small. I WAS WRONG! The hotel has obviously been recently refurbished as the room was spotless and smart. The bed was a kingsize with firm but comfortable mattress and pillows, fresh sheets and towels. The shower worked spectacularly well - whoohoo :-) We were on the top floor and can't understand why Travel Lodge don't make more of the amazing views. Every time we left and returned we would spend a couple of minutes looking out of the windows. Staff were always pleasant and helpful and the breakfast adequate . Should also point out that the hotel is in a perfect location for exploring the area. All in all Great value for money and a pleasant surprise.

Room Tip: We asked for a higher floor and were lucky to get the top floor, no noise and an amazing view.

The covent garden travelodge has a great location with very friendly and helpful staff. The only problem is the strict check in time and the additional cost for early check in. This just causes extra pressure for the reception staff

Stayed here for one night while we visited the west end for a show. Perfect location, value for money for the family. Room very comfortable , breakfast fine though staff under pressure when very busy. Will stay again when next book the theatre.

The Travelodge in Covent Garden is the perfect choice for someone who travels on a budget, wants to stay close to the city and doesn't need a bunch of luxurious amenities. For a very good price we had breakfast and dinner included with our stay. The food was actually really good (try the beef lasagna or the four cheese pizza, among other amazing meals). And a big thank you to the hotel staff for letting us have our dinner after dinner hours, after coming late one evening because of a problem with the tube line. Location wise, it's very close to the Holborn tube station (5 minutes away), and there is a bus stop even closer. A lot of the city's main attractions, like Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square, the British Museum, the Covent Garden Market, Picadilly Circus and many more are within walking distance (20 minutes at most). After a 30-40 minute walk you're face to face with Big Ben! Our room was pretty clean, and it had a nice TV.

We stayed for over a week for £48 I think it was for the two of us per night. The room was surprisingly big, very clean and the cleaners came in every day with fresh towels etc. The staff were friendly. There was a fan in our room and the bed was very comfy. We had 2 large suitcases and there was plenty room for everything. Loads of shops, pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Most visitor attractions within walking distance or 10 minutes away by tube. Tube station 5 minutes away. We had a room near the top at the front of the hotel and we had a brilliant view and it was far enough away from the noise of the street.

Room Tip: Pick a room on the top floor at the front of the Hotel as the view is amazing. We were 2 floors down...

Great location - approx. 10 mins from Holborn and Covent Garden tube stations.
Check in opens at 3 p.m. - we arrived at 3.15 and there were about 10 people ahead of us in the queue and just one girl at reception - however, we noticed later that a couple of other receptionists had arrived. We asked for a twin room but there were none available - didn't matter to us as I was with my husband but not good if friends/sisters, etc.
The room was fine - typically Travelodge - and spotlessly clean. It was in the main block where reception is and very quiet.
Breakfast is served at the hotel but there are also a few little cafes nearby. The hotel is 10 mins walk from Covent Garden and there are lots of restaurants around. It is also in a great area for several theatres.
If you book early, this hotel is very good value for money and cannot be beaten on location. I will be back!

We stayed here for 2 nights in August and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were hot. There was actually a fan in our room, which surprised me for a Travelodge. When we check in we asked for a quiet room. We were told all the rooms were quiet. However we were downstairs at the back of the hotel, which was quite noisy with delivery vans etc, especially as we had the window open. The room was a great size and very clean. The location of the hotel is fantastic. We walked everywhere which made for a very relaxing trip.
