Days Hotel London- Waterloo

I stayed here for a work trip and was pleasantly surprised by the standard of the hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly, and were more welcoming than I've experienced in other larger hotel chains. The room was on the small side, which is to be expected in a hotel in this price range, but was clean and adequately furnished. It is located in a relatively busy area but the level of traffic noise is ok. The cooked breakfast option is a self-service buffet, which is conveninent if you have a busy day ahead.

I booked this hotel a few months back via one of the pre-pay voucher sites (saving 20% in the process) and my expectations were not that great but I was very pleased indeed with my actual experience. We arrived early (1030am) as were attending an event in London that day and the very polite receptionist actually apologised that a room wasn't ready when we didn't really expect it to be. Helpfully they took our bags into storage and registered us there and then to save time later and had all the details of the pre-pay voucher.

The room itself was nice and cosy and like other reviewers, had a really comfy bed and bedding. The only small downside was that the shower is quite poor. It is very close to Lambeth North tube and is not a long walk away from the south bank and the river and is by and large well worth a visit if you want a nice room at a reasonable (for London) price.

I expected a motel-like place, adequate for an overnight stay but with no trimmings.

However to my surprise, I found upmarket reception facilities and services.

The room was spacious and quite well appointed. Good TV. Nice selection of drink making stuff and a couple of bikkies.

And the BED! Well it was to die for! Haha. Seriously a really comfortable bed with lovely crisp, fluffy bedding.

Several tiers of breakfast available (On my tariff this was at an additional charge.) But the quality of what I had was good and you could go back for as much as you wanted.

The only reason I didnt give 5stars was that the room was cold on arrival and it took a while for the heating to warm it up.

In summary. Although you must expect London prices the DaysInn will be a good bolt hole in the city.

As other revierws have said, don't expect 5 star accommodation for these prices, but is perfectly acceptable and well located for a number of London tourist attractions and only a few minutes walk from the Underground.
Reception staff were very attentive and welcoming

The hotel is well located for the London Eye and The War Museum. The room was comfortable, but the shower was a dribble rather than advertised as a power shower. The food was good and well priced, we could have done without Sky Sports on in the restaurant and bar all the time

My Boyfriend and I have just returned from a theatre break in London. I must admitt that I was a little apprehensive about booking this hotel. But my mind soon changed once I arrived.
Obviously dont go expecting 5* Luxury because it isnt. It is a nice hotel in a brilliant location. 10 Min walk to The London Eye. 3 Mins to Lambeth North Tube station, so very easy to get around.
The room was spotless, and the bathroom was lovely. The location of this hotel does make it quite noisy but this didnt stop me sleeping once I'd had a few drinks!
The staff were very friendly and courteous.
Breakfast was very nice, quite a wide selection of choice. Only negative was the breakfast room is very small and we did have to wait for some other guests to leave until we could sit down.

Overall had a lovely weekend and will reccomend this hotel for people not wanting to pay the earth!

A short walk for the Imperial War Museum even if you are a pensioner makes this a great place to stay, we even walked to the London Eye. Warm and clean, ideal for sightseeing visits we stay here on a regular basis. We do not however eat breakfast here as just around the corner is the fantasic CORNER CAFE that serves what we think is the best breakfast ever every day except Sunday.

Room Tip: The Police station can be noisy if you leave your window open at night but there is noise all over L...
