Days Hotel London- Waterloo

I've been playing Expedia roulette recently, so I got this as an unpublished rate. It's a good location, right opposite the Imperial War Museum (which is currently shut) and a couple of minutes walk from Lambeth North tube or ten minutes from Waterloo and the South Bank (London Eye etc).

The staff was friendly, they have a bar and restaurant plus room service if you prefer but the property is shabby and looks its age. Personally, if I'm going to choose a budget hotel in this area, I'd probably go with one of the Premier Inns.

Kennington Road can be quite busy but primarily early in the morning, didn't seem to be a problem at night in terms of traffic noise. There is car parking on site (I think £25 per night) but the number of spaces is limited so you may have to park elsewhere.

Room was fine if a little dark, internet was free but slow. Nothing really wrong with the hotel, just I think there are better options.

Lovely hotel and friendly staff. We arrived at 12 and got checked in straight away (even though check in was 2). Room was spotless and warm. Tea and coffee provided. Free wifi. We only got breakfast one morning, for the price it was just ok (16pounds even with discount). Only negative comment I would have is that we stayed for 3 nights and didn't get fresh towels since check in but still that would not stop me from staying here again. London eye only 10 min walk. Perfect location for tube, Lambeth North Tube Station only 5 min from hotel. I would certainly stay here again and recommend to everyone.

Booked one family room and one double, the rooms were clean and tidy if a touch on the small side could not fault the location nearest tube about 5 mins walk.
Staff were friendly and welcoming, breakfast could be a little busy at certain times but fine.
We had two evening meals while we stayed here and I would say that we found them to be very reasonable with a good menu choice also found the bar prices were ok.
We would recommend this hotel, and if coming back to London would use it again.

VERY nice hotel. First time to London, and this hotel is in a perfect location. Ten minute walk to London Eye and other important places. Very friendly staff, more than willing to help with anything. In our case, we had asked for a twin room and were given a double, talked to the reception clerk and within minutes they made the change (room availability allowed it of course). Any time we needed help (advice on where to go or how to get there) everybody went our of their way to help us out. Very nice and clean rooms.

Room Tip: Rooms at the end of the hall ways have bad or no internet connection, so if that is an issue, try to...

Very friendly staff - clean comfortable and quiet at night despite the hotel being on a main road, our room was small but the bed was comfortable there was tea & coffee making facilities, plenty of towels & extra pillows. The location of the hotel is great we walked to Westminster & south bank within 10-15 minutes. Lambeth north tube 5 minutes away. Would definitely recommend this hotel we used as part of a superbreak theatre rail & hotel deal. Breakfast also was good, plenty of choice cereals, toast, hot buffet items to suit everyone's taste.

Room Tip: We had room 228 nice & quiet

Well situated hotel for a visit to central London (shame no one had told us the imperial war museum was closed!). Lovely room with very comfortable beds and shower room. Breakfast average but Ok. Unfortuantly a row amongst drunken guests spoilt our visit - one set of the fire alarm in the middle of the night and it took ages to turn off . I was awoken to find police in stab vests, security staff and two guest in underpants on our landing having a heated exchange. Could happen anywhere i suppose but the offer of a free breakfast as consillation would have been nice!
