Stayed here with my boyfriend on my first visit to London a few weeks ago. This hotel has an amazing location! It's a less than 10 minute walk to the Thames, London Eye, and to Big Ben & Houses of Parliament. It's really close to the Waterloo Train/Tube stop, which will take you all over the city and further if needed, as Waterloo services the national rail.
The hotel itself isn't anything too fancy, but is still clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. There is a lobby bar downstairs, which we used and got to know the kind front desk clerk who also doubled as our bartender late at night.
The rooms are small, and we had been reading the complaints about the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. A fan was provided, and that combined with the open window was enough to cool down the room at night. London in August is hot, but it wasn't really an issue with us. It might be a little troublesome if you are traveling with very large suitcases, like we were- there isn't much room for large bags. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and modern. I would stay here again just for the amazing proximity to all the best stuff in London for a great price- especially in a city that is pretty expensive!More
