No bar, only place to sit is in reception. Room extremely small. Had to turn side wards at the bottom of the bed to get past. Carpet threadbare, Bathroom ridiculously small. Breakfast, equally awful. Plastic cups for orange juice. Had to queue for breakfast. Toaster took four attempts to brown toast, as half of it did not work!. Buffet breakfast could not have been more basic. I have stayed at better 3* hotels in the city. The saving grace was the receptionist who was very nice and friendly. A return visit will not be on the cards. I am wondering if the people who put glowing reports stayed at the same hotel as myself on Lancaster Gate!!
