“Excellent hotel”
Reviewed 23 February 2014 via mobile

We have just returned from this hotel which is in a fabulous location. Our room was the quietest we have ever stayed in, the air conditioning did its job well and it was nicely presented. We dined in the Restaurant at lunchtime and found the staff and food to be of a very high standard. We had a bite to eat in the lounge later on which was also good quality too. The English breakfast buffet was by far the best we have ever sampled. We found all of the staff at the hotel to be very pleasant and helpful and a real credit to Guoman.

We were given the tasting menu as a treat and it was certainly worth it. The staff were so welcoming and made our time in the restaurant brilliant. The food was excellent and just kept coming. I can highly recommend the tasting menu, and will definitively be going back for Sunday lunch thank you to Manuel and Roberta for making our lunch so special

Lovely hotel, but the "double deluxe" room features an old-fashioned 54" bed which was too small for comfort. Disappointing for the price paid. Also the hair dryer was tethered inside the desk drawer and virtually unusable.

We stayed in this hotel for a birthday trip to London. The location is fantastic with top locations mostly well within a 20 minute walk.

The hotel is very nice, as you'd expect. Our room had all the facilities we needed, good ambient lighting, extensive connectivity for multimedia, modern well equipped bathroom and all those little extras to cover forgotten items!

There is no parking on site, you have to park about a 5 minute walk away (10 min drive!) just off Trafalgar Square. Parking is £40 for 24 hours.

All staff were very helpful and attentive. We used most services and they were all fine.

I would recommend this hotel especially for the location, and secondly the quality. Made our trip most enjoyable.

This is one of my very favourite places to stay. The reception staff were fantastic, warm, welcoming and above all sincere - thanks go to the service of Renata, Camillo and Catherine - we appreciated all you did for us. The doormen and Concierge were always happy to help and advise and always with a smile, nothing was too much trouble. Thanks Richard! Our room was AMAZING! It was exceptionally clean and beautifully presented. The rain shower in the bathroom was relaxing and great after a lot of walking around London. We had a fantastic view across the river, directly in front of the London Eye and at night the attractions were all lit up, it was magical. Breakfast was really hearty and set us up for the day, again the staff were so very attentive to our needs. Not one problem - incredible!

We truly cannot wait to return and stay again.

We stayed at the Royal Horseguards with some friends just before the Christmas period and loved every minute of the time spent. Our room was very spacious, clean, airy and with lots of light. The beds were seriously comfy and very top of the range bathrooms. Due to the Christmas period the hotel was very lite up with Christmas lights and decorations which made it more specials. I would highly recommend this hotel and if you are luck like we were, we got an absolute deal/ bargain for our stay! Very very fabulous!! I'd give it 6 Stars!!

After we checked out, we opted to leave our luggage behind to enable us to see London and the staff were very helpful.

Room Tip: Very convenient and quite central to all places, right by the Thames and close walking distance to t...
