“Great location in London”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 July 2014 via mobile

This hotel is located 2 blocks from the Marble Arch tube station, and is very convenient. Rooms are very nicely appointed, and rates include breakfast and wifi. The hotel was recently converted from a residence and is all new. Only downside is the single small elevator that serves all floors. Wait times can be long, and only a few people can get on. Would probably stay there again because of the location.

My husband and I stayed 1 night during July. The staff on reception were very polite and gave us our free cookie on arrival, we were earlier than the check in time stated but they had some rooms ready so let us check in early. The rooms are on the small side but didn't bother us as we were only staying the one night, they were of a modern decor and are supplied with a good range of toiletries. There was some street noise but you are in a busy part of London, the beds are extremely comfortable and the air con was much needed as it was very hot in London. I would stay here again but only if I could get the good sale rate that I got it for again.

I stayed here this week with work colleagues. This is a lovely hotel in a great location for shopping and the west end. The reception staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful, the warm cookie on arrival was a lovely touch. The reception area and rooms are all decorated and maintained to a very high standard as are the bedrooms. The beds and pillows were both very comfy. The bathroom whilst small was spotless with a good supply of toiletries. The only negative comment was that our room on the road side of the hotel which proved to be very noisy from road traffic, especially buses, I think there was a bus stop outside our room. It was not a good room if you want a sleep in on your holiday/break! However the room is great for a London break.

Room Tip: Ask for a high room away from the main road to ensure a good nights sleep

It was our first time staying at DoubleTree and we were not disappointed!!! The staff were very professional and friendly and made sure we were looked after during our stay. The warm cookie on arrival was a lovely touch! After arriving at our room we received a phone-call to check that everything was satisfactory and if we needed anything not to hesitate to call. The room was immaculate and adequate for our stay. The room had all the essentials including various extra touches. On arriving back to our room after a tour of the city we had a platter of fruit delivered to our room which was nice, breakfast was lovely with a wide selection and again the staff were professional and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate on going back to this Hotel as i know the standard is high .

Hotel was nice. Service was very good. Location was great. Shopping is 1 block away (oxford street). West end a bus ride away since buses to almost anywhere and subway are on Oxford St. so you can get anywhere you want.
The room was clean but like most hotels in London SMALL. Although we are hilton honors (silver) members we did not qualify for breakfast here as we would have in the states.

Room Tip: We always ask for a quiet room before check in.

Cosy and clean, great location near to Hyde park and tube station. Oxford street shopping just minutes away. Bad sound proofing in rooms and stingy with amenities like shower gel. They come in small 27ml tubes and run out quickly. Will replenish when asked, but got to keep asking. And only one bottle of water for 3 nights of stay. STINGY.

Very friendly staff, nice décor, very clean and good breakfast choices. The only down sides were not being able to get a drink at the bar after 12am and the size of the rooms. If one of you is sitting at the desk in the room the other cant get passed without climbing over the bed.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a larger room if you have any amount of luggage, smaller rooms are OK for one night.
