I love its dark retro decor. It really appealed to me.
Went for new year, and good a good deal on the room

I found the rooms comfortable, and they felt warm and inviting. Its a far cry from the cool pale decor you normally get.

I will be returning.

The hotels amenities were just excellent. There are complementary tea and coffee making facilities in the lobby a place to relax fruit biscuits nuts all complementary. Free wifi throughout the hotel including in bed rooms. Small room is very spacious newly refurbished and you can open the window or control your own air conditioning. Location is perfect with lots off shops and cafes around and tubes and busses on each corner. Staff are so helpful and welcoming. There are guest lockers on each floor offering guests extra tea coffee sewing kits etc. water dispenser and bottles on each floor provide convenience and that extra little touch. Would definitely recommend this hotel. 10 out off 10. :)

Superb location for the City and a number of attractions. Helpful, friendly staff. Underground close by. Room comfortable and very clean with all amenities one would expect of a quality hotel. Area around is very quiet on a Saturday night, especially for London. Did not use the breakfast facilities but found a wee Sainsburys round the corner for carry-in ingredients of fresh fruit and croissants. Coffee and teas available in the ground floor lounge, free. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends.

Not quite club quarters really, but well placed if you're in the City. Pleasant welcome from receptionist who is at a desk around a corner in the ground floor lobby. The rest of it is the lounge, which has books, TV and drinks machine. Decor rather dark but the lounge is functional and nice enough.

We had a "suite" which contained a double bed, one temporary looking single (all nicely made up) with a sofa and chairs and a kitchen corner with a microwave. Room was not overlarge, but it was very clean, and the ensuite shower room was small but sparkling. Room wasn't really big enough for two, three would have been really too much, but it was quiet and sleep quality excellent.

We avoided breakfast in the basement restaurant as this was £14 odd per person. However, there is a Wetherspoons pub right next door in what I think was an old banking hall, which does good cheap breakfasts and meals (though its opening hours are City ones and not open Sundays). There are also various Pret a Manger outlets in the vicinity.

Very nice, and ideal for the City, but not I suspect for a social trip, as it's away from the bright lights.

We really liked this property and the location. We were clsoe to a subway staion, department store with awesome grocery right in. We were able to walk to Thames River to catch a river among a lot of places within walking distace. This is primarily a business area but has some options for Metro. I liked the concept of the hotel with the nice big lobby, library and coffe tea center but the water and water bottles available to guests on each floor was one of the best hotel ammenities I have seen provided in a long time!
Our room was average, we requested an early checkin so it may not have been what we booked but all in all this is a good place to stay for either business or leisure.
PS- I LOVED the extensive food items available for room service or to pack your own lunches the next day or just to stock the in room fridge. I would stay here again!

We stayed here over the weekend, with their weekend price. We requested an upgrade with a kitchen, which was quite reasonable. The lounge was quite nice, with complementary coffee and tea. The staff was quite helpful, with our requests.
Across the street is a nice market with decent restaurants and pubs. I would certainly return to this hotel, and recommend it for any weekend stay overs in London.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a kitchenette for a reasonable price.
