Stayed here for one night on business. The hotel was nice enough with decent facilities. Clearly aimed at the business traveller and I couldn't find anything particularly wrong with it, but I just didn't like it.
I think it was a lack of any sort of atmosphere. The check in via a kiosk reminded me of going into a bank to deposit a cheque via a machine. There was someone there to help you, but there was no feeling of being made to feel especially welcome or special. Most hotels have a flow of people through the reception, but at check in, a visit to use the computers and again at checkout I think I only saw two other guests. At breakfast there was only one other guest eating...at 7am in Central London the dining rooms are normally busy.
Would I go back? Probably not as there are other hotels nearby that I've enjoyed better and cost less.More
