Stayed at Club Quarters for 1 Wednesday night in January.

Entrance is grand but it goes downhill from there.

Run down maze of corridors lead you to your room.

My room on level 5 had seen better days, chipped and worn surfaces. Aircon heating didn't work, bathroom was tatty and freezing cold.

You stay here mostly because you're going to be working in the City and can walk in.

After a sleepless night with the whining ventilation system and bright lit iPod docking clock I eventually nodded off at around 3am. I then was woken at 5:30am by a glass bottle collection truck outside.

Decent TV, Wi-Fi included, comfy bed but for £153 a night you can find better and quieter in London.

Overall I would aim NOT to stay here again if working in the City area.

Let me first say that you know what you are getting when you book a Club Quarters .... for business travellers it is a no-frills, budget hotel and you get what you pay for basically.
The location is great if you are working in the City and there are plenty of pubs and restaurants in the City these days in any case to keep you fed and entertained.
My room was looking its age a little and furnishings seemed sparse; no minibar and not even a bottle of water!
On the other hand as my title says you should never expect too much from a Club Quarters ...

I stayed here a couple of times this spring, and 17.-19. December 2010.
Very nice rooms, a bit worn, but still very nice. Water end wireless network for free all over the hotel, and docking for iPods at each room.
I really like the location, when staying in City. It is about 10 minutes walk from Liverpool Street Station and 5 minutes from Bank. The area seems very safe both day and night. There are a lovely market hall right outside the hotel.
The people working there are nice and helpful. The Hotel concept itself is quite simple, with a small gym, a business room with free computers and printers, and cofee to go in the reception area. There is a restaurant connected to the hotel where breakfast is served, but I haven't been there. All in all a good hotel, and I will return.

Very quiet and relaxing hotel. Upgraded to a superior room which was large, comfortable bed. Mini kitchen which was very useful. Will definitely stay again.

Some reviews are unfair relating to value for money. For central London this was good value.

The room was spotless, and rather spacious for Central London (we stayed in a Standard room; the Superior rooms seemed barely larger).
Very convenient location: less than 5 minutes to the Monument tube station. The staff were efficient in helping us find our way and in dealing with many customers at the same time. Reasonably quiet, although we could sometimes hear over customers in the corridors. Good (and free) Internet connection.
My only complaint is that the breakfast room was not well heated. Also, beware of the rates on the hotel's website: tax is not included!
I'll probably stay there again next time I'm in London.

Used the self-checkin machine printed room keys and was in the room in 5 mins, if thats not quick then I dont know what is!!! Fairly spacious, slightly dated but not a big deal at all. Huge bed and a small bathroom. Price was slightly on the high side at £140 for one night but other that that bank station is a stroll away and so is st pauls station.

I would reccomend this hotel anyday but only if they pay under £100 per night.
