“SPECIAL Bithday and Mothers Day”
Reviewed 12 April 2014 via mobile

The exterior of the hotel hides an impressive interior. Our rooms were very clean, comfortable
and very quiet for London. Staff were very attentive and helpful. The surrounding St Katherines Dock is a great place to explore. Wonderfjl views of the river and Tower Bridge, tryto get a room with a view of either. We will certainly book again later in the year.

Stayed here last weekend, booked through 'Last Minute'. Helpful arrival staff and check-in, room was a good size and super view of Tower of London even though we only had a bog standard room. Shame no tea and coffe making facilities in room and bar prices extortionate! Would def stay again though, lovely walk along the river to hotel from central London. Lots of restaurants close by or just accross Tower Bridge.

Dear Reviewer,
Thanks for your post,
It’s great to read you had such an amazing view of the Tower of London from your room. Tea & coffee making facilities are available in all room categories so I am really sorry that this was not the case in your room.
We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.
Kind regards
Billy

As an historian specializing in 16th Century England, I usually visit the Tower at least twice during my annual trip. I never grow tired of this magnificent structure which I would argue is the most significant sight in London equal , of course, to Westminster Abbey. If you want to learn the history of London and England, spend a day at the Tower. Although I often disagree with the Historic Royal Palaces presentation and historical methodology, nonetheless they have done a wonderful job in preserving this vital structure -- in spite of the plethora of gift shops and eateries. Even though the gift shops sell their share of incredibly tacky souvenirs, you can find some lovely pieces. I bought one of my favorite pendants there last year to celebrate my meeting with one of the Warders. Also they have a really great selection of serious books on the Tower and England in general. Don't miss St. Johns Chapel in the White Tower. it's a wonderful example of Norman architecture. The restaurants are decent, but avoid the fast food places on the Tower's perimeter. If you plan to visit the Tower more than once, you might consider an HRP membership which would also give you access to the other HRP properties. While the Tower is a pricey sight, it's well worth it! If you have time, do some research so that you will better appreciate it. Most people just walk around and take photos with no concept of what they're seeing. Put down the camera and just soak it in. That said, you'll never regret a day at the Tower..

Friendly staff on reception, pleasant room with nice view over the adjacent marina. Quick service in Brasserie restaurant despite being busy. Good breakfast, quick check out, taxis ready at the door. Can't fault it. Good value too for central London.

Rooms seem more spacious and the location is nice and open and airy compared to other central London hotels.

I had dinner last night at this hotel. Having sat outside with some wine admiring the beautiful view of Tower Bridge 8 of us had dinner. This was a business dinner. We had a very warm reception from alll the staff and were really looked after throughout the meal. I requested a table by the window which looked out onto Tower Bridge. Our main waiter was Jivko and I would like to extend my thanks to him for looking after us so well. The food was fabulous and good value for money. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be going there again. A big thank you also to the rest of the staff.

Dear Reviewer,
Thanks for your post.
It’s great to read you were so well looked after by the team and in particular by Zhivko during your dinner at the Brasserie at the Tower Hotel; I have shared your kind words with him. As the evenings warm up, the terrace is the perfect setting for lunch or drinks overlooking Tower Bridge.
Thanks for recommending us. We’re looking forward to your next visit.
Kind regards,
Billy

First impression was that we had made a mistake booking this hotel as it looks dated from the outside. After entering the building our bad impression stopped there.
We had booked an executive room so were told in advance that on arrival to go up to level 5 to check in at the executive lounge, which was the best check in we have ever experienced. We were told that all drinks and snacks in the lounge were complementary. This made the upgrade extremely good value for money. Special mention is required here to Ferial and the other girl (sorry can't remember her name) in the lounge, who were very helpful and are a credit to this hotel, who helped made our stay a memerable one. This lounge was very comfortable and quiet, and a lovely place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of London.
The hotel is located in an excellent position, with great views of Tower Bridge and the Shard.
Breakfast was good with everything you could possibly want. The sausages and bacon were of a very good quality.
We ate out on our first night but had an evening meal in the hotels restaurant on our second evening. This was also very good quality and reasonably priced for London.
Will definately use this hotel the next time we stop in London.
