I have got the room with excellent views over Thames. Quite good breakfast. Helpfull staff. Good access to the City. A lot of restaurants and bars around. A little bit too expensive. But this is London.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with view over the river.

I booked The Tower because of it's location to Butlers Wharf on the South side of the Thames where I was due to have dinner. My expectations of this aged landmark were'nt high but I had a great stay. The receptionist Roberta was a delightful girl who asked me for my room view preference and which floor I would like. The room had the view, yes it's a bit dated but spotless and very comfortable.
Staff all really friendly and helpful - brilliant location and unbeatable Tower Bridge panorama.

We stayed for the weekend in a double Tower View room - the hotel is well located to reach any of the sights. We went by water taxi to Westminster Bridge only 15 mins and visited Westminster ab bey and Big Ben. At the rear of the. Hotel is St Katherine's dock which is a haven for beautiful yachts and breakfast is served on the first floor which overlooks this and is great. The tower bridge is right outside and under the bridge and 5 mins walk is the famous Tower of London of which you can spend the whole day - really interesting place!

Room Tip: Ask for Tower Bridge view rooms they are larger and have the best views of bridge and the Thames.

We stayed here for 1 night in March and upgraded to a room with a view of Tower Bridge, the room was lovely, the bed was soo comfy and the view was amazing especially at night! There are a few bars & restaraunts close by and the underground is only a 5 minute walk, also the area feels really safe to walk back at nighr. I would definately reccommend this hotel if you want a good location and great stay! Breakfast was amazing, the staff were great. A really lovely London hotel.

With Tower Bridge on one side, and St Katharine's Dock on the other, there can hardly be a more spectacularly situated hotel in the capital. The Tower of London is just around the corner, too.

The property has been hugely renovated since its early days as a Thistle hotel I was at the original opening!), and it now has a particularly eye-catching lobby. There seem to be staff everywhere, but - visiting for a conference - I couldn't help wondering what most of them actually do. The lobby coffee shop was firmly shut at teatime, and leaving or collecting coats with the concierge was an unnecessarily prolonged undertaking.

There are too few lifts for a property of the hotel's size, but – once you reach them – the conference rooms are smart and well serviced. Fellow attendees spending the night were well contented with their rooms.

This is not a cheap hotel, but it is good value for money. Perhaps it would be even better value if they either got rid of some surplus staff or persuaded them to actually do something.

Room Tip: The views are everything. Make sure you get a good one.

I stayed at this hotel for two weeks in April 2014. I must say I have no complaints to raise. The room I stayed in (double for single use) was significantly larger than I had expected, with possibility to set heating/air conditions as it most pleased. Excellent view on St. Katherine's docks and in-room flat screen with a good selection of broadcasts. (Including international ones!) Great plus, free fast Wi-Fi (with possibility to connect over VPN!) throughout the hotel with no additional costs and no time/download limitations. Free complimentary water delivered to the room each day. Housekeeping is very good, towels changed daily and room always kept in good conditions. Concierge and hotel staff are very friendly, always happy to arrange taxi pickups and provide travel information and tips to move around London. A few negative remarks: Breakfast is not included, and costs about £12/day/person. (At least, these were the prices associated to my rent.) Restaurants within the hotel are also quite expensive, and delivery of food to the room can cost as much as £15 for a burger! This said, however, Starbucks and Tesco are literally around the corner, and 5 minutes from the hotel are a series of excellent restaurants (Including Cafe Rouge, Ping Pong etc) where one can easily have a dinner for under £20. Hotel is located in an excellent position, five minutes' walk from Tower Hill tube station and right next to Tower Bridge. You also get the possibility to sign up to the hotel's "signature" loyalty program, which gives you additional free nights and benefits. I know the hotel has some gym facilities and similar, but I have not had the opportunity of trying them out so can't comment. Overall, this is definitely NOT a budget accommodation - lowest rooms are about £130/night - but you do get your value for money!

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the top floors. I was on floor 9 and the view was spectacular! Also, if you don...

Booked an Easter break and show in London through a coach firm, so had no idea what the hotel would be like. When we were told the hotel's name looked it up and thought, wow.
We arrived Friday afternoon and we were really impressed. A brilliant location by the Thames right next to The Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Lovely large room with, in our case a view of Katherine's Dock. Clean, comfy, Tea making gear, iron, hair drier, safe, etc.
Our problem was that the safe would not shut ,told reception, they asked us to wait in our room for a chap to look at it. Friendly chap came, did all the things I had already done , could not sort it, called another friendly chap, who couldn't sort it either. We ended up using the safe in reception.
The hotel was very handy for all the sights and was close to a ferry stop to get to other locations.
We booked a continental breakfast, but they also do hot food, plenty to eat in a nice area, very friendly staff.
The room was cold, with the temp' control not effective, we asked for and received a blanket, which was ok for the next 2 nights. We would stay again.
