Stayed here for 3 nights on business. It's great for the city 20 minute walk, 5/10 in a cab.
The hotel itself has a decent gym and leisure centre. But it's strange how they appear to have spent their money. The public areas are very modern and up to date. Add to that a Decent bar area, good restaurant etc. had the breakfast 1 day £18.95 is a bit steep but all you can eat buffet so if you go hungry not bad value.
The rooms are comfortable but very old and in need of updating, I am talking varnished wood etc, not in touch with the other areas.
I had to move rooms as at first I had a room on the 1st floor on the main road. Traffic noise I accept, it's central London after all, but hearing peoples heels clicking I draw the line at. I asked to be moved and was accommodated no issue. 2nd room was better although still needed updating.
Staff were good and I would stay here again. Not high end business hotel but not bad.
All in all it definitely maintains it's rating but probably does not reach the next level.
