I stayed here last weekend and I was highly disappointed. Although its a great location and front desk staff are very helpful I was disappointed when we walked into a small room with no AC and no window to open. It was 29 degree so very hot so as you can imagine our shock when we walked into the room. We called reception and asked where the AC was and they said only a selected few have this facility and we should have requested this!? I have NEVER known a hotel especially a 4 star not to have this service in the UK. All the AC rooms were fully booked and they advised if we wanted a bigger room (still with no AC but a window) we would have to pay extra. We went down and spoke to the staff and they kindly upgraded us to a bigger room however it was facing the main road so we experienced a lot of noise at night. They also provide you with a fan which was pretty useless but hey it was something!
Overall the hotel was nice but do not book the standard room and if you do, make sure you have AC or you can open the window otherwise you will feel very claustrophobic.
The location is brilliant, its a 20 minute walk to Westminster Pier (London eye, big ben) and a 4 minute walk into Covent garden.More
