Short 2 night stay in business. Surely the plus of this hotel is location. The rooms are very small... service is ok but because is very busy hotel you don't feel they peraonalized and looked after..

We stayed at the St Giles New York, so were looking forward to what this one had to offer. We were left disappointed and felt a bit rushed and unwelcome.

The reception staff were rude and abrupt and we were just thrown our keys and weren't told anything about our room. For £100 on a weekday for a double room, I expected more.

The staff need to go see how they do it at NYC!

Terrible hotel. Don't choose them!! I've once made a general enquiry via their website and they replied very quickly. Yet, after I left this hotel and backed to my country, I found they deducted the hotel fee again from my credit. This is their careless mistake and I informed them but this time no one reply me! I sent 2 more times emails to them afterward but still no reply for a week. So be careful! They'll ignore everything after they receive your money!

I always stay at the St Giles when I am in London on a short break. Its location is ideal, the rooms are clean, the staff very professional and thorough. The rooms can be small, the single rooms are tiny but fully functional. However when I go to London its to get out and about, so as a base this hotel is perfect. As other reviewers have said the rooms can be hot and that would be my only negative comment. Fans are provided in all rooms if needed. The hotel is busy but I have always found the staff to be very efficient. I stay here up to 4 times a year and have brought family and friends to it and all have agreed its ideal. I hold a great affection for the place, as its been my home on many brilliant trips to the city. You can walk to all the main theatres, the shops in Oxford street or Convent Garden and the National gallery or Leicester from here. Or you can jump on the tube (central line / northern line) to go further afield. If you want a safe, well appointed hotel, were you can bunk down for a few nights the St Giles is ideal. Its not 'swanky' but its got a lot of charm. I look forward to availing of its hospitality many times more in the future.

I stayed here with a friend for 6 days in the middle of July 2012. At first we were pleasantly surprised by the modern interior in the lobby, but when we saw our room we were very disappointed. It was tiny and looked more like a closet than a bedroom. The room was dated, however the bathroom was modern and had obviously been updated quite recently. The staff was friendly and helpful and the location is very good. All in all, the Hotel was ok for a couple of days.

Stayed for 2 nights from 07/07/12. A very busy hotel, clean & friendly staff. Upgraded as room wasn't ready & was excited until we entered the room & it was quite small. Shower/bathrooom a squeeze but good hot water. Rooms get very hot & you can't open window far. Friends room tiny, beds to walls. Nice breakfast, simple european style. No toast as "not european" as I was informed. Bar in the evening, relaxing. Excellent location, nowhere far on foot. Spa/swimming pool in another building down the road. Overall, fab if you want to get your head down & want a breakfast in the morning. It's not for spending time in the room.

My girlfriend and I spent 4 nights in London at the end of June. We had a great stay in London, made even more so by the staff at St Giles Hotel!
Be aware, it is a very busy hotel. There is nothing wrong with that of course, but it will not be everyone's cup of tea. As per London standards too, the rooms are small. This too was fine for us as we came to London to see the sites, not to hang around our hotel room watching tv and eating room sevice. So ignore other reviews who complain about this.

The hotel was right near Tottenham Court Road train station, just off Charring Cross Rd, and an easy walk to the main sites of Lodon such as Big Ben, Trafalgar Square etc. The walk to sites like the Palace will not take 5 minutes, but it is a lovely walk through London so who cares.
Overall, we were happy with hotel. Cheap, quiet and secure. Plus some Good pubs only a stones throw away.
