When you walk into this hotel it appears perfect, greeted by staff, appears absolutely a 4 star, but room was too small to even swing a cat...definitely not a 4 star..more like a 2/3 star...clean enough but facilities definitely a let down, better service at premier inn ! Bed average,

We spent 2 days at Hotel and chose it on the basis of its central location - 2minutes from Tottenham court tube station and across the road from Primark and Oxford street. The rooms were clean but small. It was stuffy and we needed to keep the window open which made it a little noisy but not unbearably so. The hotel was busy in the heart of summer and we sometimes had to wait a little while for a lift. The Concierge service was great on our last day -sorting out luggage and taxi and generally very friendly. Overall it is a good tourist hotel with a great location.

Two adults, mum & daughter. We stayed here as we wanted a central location, & that was perfect for a girls weekend. The hotel is within walking distance of many bars, restaurants, shops & the tube. The reception was very clean & the staff were very helpful. Our room was quite small, but it had everything we needed, & was very clean. There was an odour in the corridors where the bedrooms were, which was rather unpleasant, but we couldn't smell it inside our room.
We had lunch in the coffee shop, which was very tasty. We left our suitcase with the concierge the following day for a cost of £1.00. I would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous location close to everything you will want to see in Central London. Friendly staff and clean comfortable rooms. My request at booking had been taken into consideration and I would definitely use again....and again.

Room Tip: All rooms appear to have a view of London skyline which is lovely at night

Four adults (2 couples). We decided to have a short stay(3 nights) in London. Our main plan was to see one or two musicals, go on The London Eye, have a Thames cruise and perhaps visit a museum or two. The St Giles Hotel was the perfect choice for us. Most things were within walking distance. What a joy not having to use The Underground. We were not stuck out in some distant part of London wondering what time the last Tube was. We could easily walk up to our hotel at any time of the night, or if we felt lazy jump in a cab. During the day, if we wanted to go shopping, Oxford Street was only about 100 yards away. The hotel itself was more or less what we expected. On arrival we were easily checked in by a pleasant young lady and directed to the lifts which took us to our rooms on the 7th floor. These rooms were perfectly adequate for us. We did not expect to be spending much time in the hotel. Because of the good position of the hotel, and the amount we paid, none of us expected a fantastic room with wonderful views. What we got was what we expected. The rooms were slightly small and did not have much of a view. The en-suite was also quite small, but again adequate. Beware if you are rather large because the shower entrance is a bit on the tight side. Should point out that there was no air condition in our rooms but we were provided with a fan. It was very warm weather during our visit and therefore the fan got plenty use. We only had breakfast at the hotel and were all satisfied. It was a buffet breakfast with more than enough to choose from, and also quite tasty. It provided a good start to the day. Would we go back to this hotel? Definitely!

Room Tip: We did not bother to check out other rooms or ask for an upgrade. Therefore we cannot help other tra...

The best thing to say about this hotel is LOCATION. At least if you'r going shopping! Tottenham Court Rd., Oxford street and a tube station "next door". Covent Garden a ten minute walk away. Yes, it is defintely convenient. My room was small, but that didn't really bother me. I was however unable to close the window completely, and be aware - traffic noise and other noise from the street are quite extreme. Also, the wash basin in the bath room wasn't up to standard. I found them minor flaws because I only stayed one night. Reception staff and concierge staff mostly very nice. Bring your own map... I was given a photocopy when I asked for a map, very small and very blurry... I had breakfast around 7 am, no hassle so early in the morning. The breakfast restaurant is a bit dark and gloomy though, but food selection OK. But come on St Giles: wifi should be FREE. Price is unforgiveable.....

Room Tip: If you can't sleep because of traffic noise, og for th higher floors.

Although the rooms were small, ours was very well equipped and the air con unit was essential. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly - when we were checked in, we were offered a room on a higher floor as the lower ones could get quite noisy. While this wasn't necessary for us, it is great that the offer was made. The only real complaint is about the lifts - there simply are not enough for a hotel of this size and we were often waiting in very hot lobbys for ages. However, this is in a great location (2 mins walk from Tottenham Court Road underground and 10 from Euston) and is very good value for its position and London in general. In addition, the 'Sage and Chilli' restaurant does exceptional and very well priced pizzas - perfect for a good meal before a show. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Lower rooms may be noisy - it is central London - so request a high floor, but give yourself plenty...
