“Location is it's strength”

This was my second stay in the Hotel, this time in an upgraded twin room. Check in was efficient and friendly. There can be quite a wait for lifts at key times, especially if there are quite a few checking in and out with plenty of luggage. Our room was quite small, we had a small sitting area which was pleasant, but would have preferred more space in the bedroom area, there was barely space for 2 cases. The room was clean, it had good aircon. There was no bath but a good shower. It's extremely central to Oxford St, Tottenham Court Road and links via bus, tube, rail. My only criticism was the heating seemed to bo on full in the corridors on our floor (2) and waiting for a lift was akin to being in a sauna ( it was in the high 20s outside)
It's a clean, central place to stay if You know exactly what you are getting, and like many in London, just use the room to sleep, shower and enjoy the city.

Our stay got off to a bad start as the check-in staff at the hotel had no knowledge of our reservation (which had been made through an agent). However the staff were very friendly and efficient and sorted it out for us and we were still able to check in to our room earlier than expected.

I agree with other reviewers - the rooms are small but I've had smaller in London. The bathroom was tiny but very clean. We were on the 6th floor so it was ok to leave the window open. The fresh air and the fan provided kept the room at a comfortable temperature despite the heat outside.

We were pleasantly surprised by the choice at breakfast - yes the breakfast room is very basic and out dated but the food was more than adequate for our needs.

The best thing about this hotel is its location. We chose the hotel as we wanted to be walking distance of the theatre. It's in walking distance of most things - we walked to the hotel from St. Pancras and within ten minutes you can walk to Covent Garden. Tottenham Court Road underground station is only just round the corner and Oxford Street a few minutes walk.

As long as you don't expect too many frills this hotel is a good choice for a short stay in central london.

Room Tip: The staff are very helpful and informed us which rooms were the quietest. We stayed on the sixth fl...

I stayed here with my boyfriend in July 2014. The double room that we had was tiny, with no fridge to keep drinks cool (the temperatures were about 27 degrees Celsius when we stayed), no air conditioning, a small fan and a window that only partly opened. The lifts are also very small. We only had breakfast in the hotel one morning and at more than £9 each the breakfast was only adequate. Our experience with the staff during check in was that she was very rude and also the staff at the coffee desk was rude also. However, the staff at the concierge desk were very nice and helpful. The Hudson bar was very nice although a bit expensive. The location of this hotel is phenomenal. Only a 5 minute walk to oxford street and within a stones throw from buses, taxis and the underground. Based on the location alone I would stay here again.

This is a pleasant but fairly basic hotel in a fantastic location. Our twin room was small but neat and clean, with an excellent shower room! We spent most of our time out and about - being right on the corner of Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road and almost adjacent to Underground and bus stops meant this was a great spot to base a busy London trip. Good access to restaurants and theatres meant we we were well suited.
Improvements have been carried out since our last visit and we were impressed with the new bar/restaurant on ground floor. Breakfast service was better and quieter than last time.
Efficient concierge service.
This was our second visit and I'd use this hotel again.

Room Tip: Standard rooms are quite small. Possibly worth investigating an executive room.

This hotel was well located & well serviced by taxis however it was a bit disappointing. While I can't speak highly enough of the concierge who were always keen to help & always on the ball the rest of the hotel did not live up to its star rating.

The room was tiny, non-air conditioned and there was no fridge. In order to feel safe at night one had to close the window which limited the air flow on hot nights (we were in London during 30 degree heat). The bathroom was also tiny however it obviously had been recently renovated and was rather nice.

The hotels wi-fi was overpriced and VERY slow, more time was spent waiting for pages to load than actually using the internet.

Whilst the hotel is okay I wouldn't stay here again.

Room Tip: Don't get a room near the lifts you can hear everything happening in the halls!

Deluxe rooms and suites very good value.

Booked this hotel for a romantic weekend to celebrate 24 years of marriage. The reception and staff are very good; however when you get to your room, that is when it goes down hill a tad.

Very very small rooms - NO AIR CON - I stress this as we went when it was sunny and it was like a sauna. They do provide a fan, but all that does is circulate hot air (a bit like a fan oven).

The water was warm at best.

The lifts are a pain. We were waiting for 10 minutes for one to come along. Being on the 7th floor, the stairs where not an option with our cases.

Breakfast was OK - buffet style, but the restaurant décor looks like a 60's motorway service station.

In essence, I would have been better off at a Premier Inn or travel lodge.

Room Tip: Take extra fans or very light weight gymjams
