Nice hotel. Great location to access central London. Basic hotel but all you need. Nice breakfast laid on each morning, rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and efficient. No problems at all.
Will definitely be staying here again when I'm in London again.

This was a great hotel with great service from arrival to departure. Outside the hotel is spotless the location brilliant. Inside was bright and very clean. Yes the double room was a little small but more than adequate to unwind rest sleep well and get ready for a theatre night. Wardrobe space limited so maybe no more than three nights would be best. Linen clean n new with fresh twirls spotless shower room and some tea n coffee available. The corridors n shared areas were spotless with modern black n white canvas prints of London - Daily papers in the shared lounge and the breakfast room was basic but more than adequate with fresh supply of light breakfast foods.

The staff were at hand with out being in ya face and I can't fault the price for such an ideal location. We walked to st James park buck palace etc within fifteen minutes n as we drove up found reasonably priced parking at Victoria station at 23 quid for 24 hours - not bad for smack in the middle of Westminster!

Shame to read such negative reviews here and glad ignored them. This area is clean n vastly improved over the years with nice parks n gardens nearby.

Central House staff made our visit easy n welcoming and have no complaints - other than would have liked to stay a little longer!
Next visit to London will include a couple of nights of sight seeing etc and again we will
stay at Central House no probs. will ask for a short break discount maybe .... U never know !

Dear Parker,

We’re completely overwhelmed to read that your experience was no less than perfect!

The great news is Central House Hotel has recently re-branded to Comfort Inn London - Westminster. And no, that doesn't mean the prices have increased. They’re still reasonable but the service can definitely be rated a five-star!

Our guests seem to love the new lobby and reception area. We've uploaded some pictures on the hotel website and the social media channels. We’ll soon start shooting a new hotel video so watch that space!

Thank you for recommending us and for sharing your experience on this platform. I’ve passed on your message to the team members. We can’t wait to have you back!

Regards,
Abida.

OK, so I paid in advance and secured a good rate, and the outside of the building and the area are great...but I was given a room in the basement. I tried to open the window and found a mound of rubbish and a ton of pigeon poo. I was disgusted! So I called and said that room was unacceptable. Then moved me (that was good) to a room on the ground floor. However, it was right off of the reception and adjacent to at least three doors going to different areas. So, suffice to say the room was not the most private or quiet. There was a lot of unfinished or half done areas and a significant lack of attention to detail. Wires hanging, shower with lots of caulking, holes in the wall, again tried to open the window but the cord was dangling and obviously in need of repair........very disappointing. Even the size and space was budget. There was barely two feet of space where the toilet was, so if you were of any size it would be a problem. The room phone was cheap, the lighting cheap, the overall impression was very budget indeed. The breakfast included was 'continental', which in theory is fine, but the resultant offer of food included tiny muffins in plastic, tiny yoghurts, toast, machine coffee, stale and tasteless croissants, cheese flavoured cheese and hard boiled eggs (plus the obligatory boxed cereal and tinned fruit cocktail). Even the room key had the room number written on it with a pen that easily rubs off!

Needless to say you get what you pay for and thank goodness it was only for one night. Considering there were hotels in almost every building within this row the competition should dictate a certain standard. A youth hostel may have been a better value.

You live and learn

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the main road and NOT at the back of the building! Preferably on a higher floor.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for reviewing us on TripAdvisor and apologies for the inconveniences caused. It seems not a single aspect of your stay was quite up to your expectation. We’re surprised to hear that. As mentioned in your booking confirmation and our website; we serve complimentary continental breakfast. To get the freshest bread possible we order croissants 7 days per week. The yogurt and muffins are of a standard size served in most of Central London hotels.

We’ve sent you a message via TripAdvisor internal messaging system inquiring few details about your stay so we can further investigate in this matter. Thank you again for an honest review. The good news is we’ve recently refurbished the lobby and reception area and we’re now re-branding as Comfort Inn Westminster on 11th March. We hope you’ll give us another chance to prove ourselves, Hope to speak to you soon!

Warm regards,
Abida.

Booked because it was cheap, regretted instantly! Dirty, small, broken bed, sock found from previous occupants, shower was scolding and couldnt be adjusted. Bathroom was just a wetroom with a toilet right next to the drain on the floor for the shower. Walls are paper thin could hear wispering from next door and snoring in the night.

I recently stayed with two family members for my mum's birthday. We arrived at the hotel which is only a short walk from Victoria coach station. We were greeted by a lovely lady who was so bubbly and we were happy to find out that we could leave luggage safe while we went to see the sights.
We came back around 6 o'clock and check in was simple which was great. The room was lovely with a tv, facilities for tea making and wardrobe space. Although the bathroom was small is just enough!

We then went to head out for food and chose to go to the Italian restaurant right next door to the hotel (14 steps to be exact) which was amazing! Fresh, authentic italian food at very reasonable prices!

To conclude, the hotel staff could not do more for us at this hotel and for a budget price I was very impressed. This will be one of my first choices for when I return to London!

Thank you to the staff at Central House Hotel :-)
