Hilton London Green Park
Ranked #677 of 1,081 Hotels in London

This Hilton hotel is in a great location for shopping (New Bond Street, Oxford St, Piccadilly), Mayfair restaurants, embassies and businesses and the Royal Parks. Also close to Green Park Underground station.

The hotel is tired, except for the reception which is quite smart.

The bedrooms are small - to be expected at such a property - but the furnishings are worn and also out of character (light wood rather than dark wood). The room was relatively hot. The bathroom fittings and tiles need updating. The wooden floorboards in the room above were noisy. The bed was comfortable but the bed linen was not high quality.

The staff were very, very helpful and were the best element of the hotel.

Internet is US$25 per day except for Hilton gold card holders. This is expensive.

Food / beverages are Hilton standard but the sandwiches and snacks in the chiller cabinet at reception looked reasonably good.

The room price was reasonable (about 230 pounds including tax) so all in all the room was fairly priced but a bit disappointing for a 5 star.

Finally, would I return - probably not because there are better hotels nearby.

The location of the hotel makes it perfect for a trip to London when you want to have everything close by. My 15th trip to London and i think the room and the interior of the hotel is not really up to a 4 star standard but it is after all England/London and the standard there is different in general...

The staff were super sweet and there is an Indian gentleman who works in the concierge who we really found to have that "little extra". Only had snacks in the bar and a few drinks so don't know how the food is. Breakfast was OK, nothing special and rather small but fine and more than enough for me as I am not big on breakfast anyways, my travel companion who likes breakfast felt that it was enough too even though there was nothing special about it. Would stay here again because of the location and that it's well worth the money/very affordable.

Stayed here for 2 nights in February 2014. Got an excellent deal through Priceline. The first room we were given smelt damp and so we changed rooms to a room on the 4th floor at the back of the hotel. Hotel is made up of several town houses and is in an excellent location close to Green Park tube station. The rooms whilst slightly old were comfortable but the chair had a few stains on it. Didn't try the breakfast as there was a cheap coffee shop and Tesco around the corner.

This is an old building renovated, well kept, with a great location, walking distance from Piccadilly and Buckingham Palace. The shepherd market around the corner has good restaurants and pubs. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. Breakfast is very good. Wifi available free of charge but only in the social área. Rooms are small but comfortable.

We really wanted to do an Afternoon Tea before we finished our first trip to the UK, but quickly found that it can tend to be a very pricey endeavor. At least it was until we learned that we could take in a tea here and it was delightful.

Calling ahead to make reservations for a place is advised; and the front desk is more than willing to share with you any special packages that might be available. That alone was great appreciated. The service was better and more attentive than any other restaurant we had been to in London over the course of our trip. The waiters were present without being overbearing and responded quickly to our requests.

Unlike many of the other teas we had looked at we were able to choose and drink as many teas as we desired. The selection is not enormous but the variety was more than expected. For two people, we were able to select a tea to share or one each. The waiters explained each tea, what variety it was and how long it should be steeped. A 'tea timer' was also provided for proper brewing. The selection of sandwiches, scones and pastries was delicious; and the staff was more than happy to adapt it according to any food allergies (this was MOST appreciated). Our tea ended with a glass of champagne.

We highly recommend this experience to other travelers, you will be hard pressed to be disappointed.

The rooms are on the smaller size compared to other hotels in the same price range. The service is very good. The Concierge was very helpful too when I needed a few printouts or I needed to keep by luggage after check out. Location is good.
