Very old building, wooden creaky floors in the room, worn out plumbing in Bathroom. Claustrophobic. Average food quality in restaurant. At GBP 198 per night, its no value for your money. Other hotels in the neighborhood offer more for less.

Made to feel very welcome, the staff explained how it all worked especially about the selection of teas, they even laid out a table by the window for us,that was not even being used. We enjoyed all the varieties of sandwiches, scones & cakes which was followed at the end by a great couple of cocktails. The best part was I told the staff it was my birthday & they produced two yummy slices of chocolate cake which was a real surprise. The staff were very attentive & it was good to be able to chat with them about their lives which made the experience all the more enjoyable.
We will certainly be going again.

The interior and furnishing of this hotel is that of an old 3 star hotel. No fridge in rooms. Very average rooms. Many other hotels in similar price in that area. Room sizes were average. The bar was ok for residents.

Great location, 5 mins walk from Buckingham palace in one direction and oxford street in another. We celebrated our wedding anniversary and hotel gave us a bottle of complimentary bubbly in our room, lovely touch. Breakfast and afternoon tea excellent. Would stay again.

Although this was just a one night stay, we received a welcome that many Hotels offer only to 'long stay' guests. My pre visit request via email asking for a high, quiet room was fully obliged, although 'high' in this Hotel equates to 3rd floor as the 4th (top floor) has higher grade rooms. The room itself was fairly 'cosy', but the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was more roomy, and the shower was the best I have come across in a UK hotel for some time. The staff in general were all very courteous, helpful and willing to help with any needs. The location of the hotel is super, Green Park tube station is only a couple of minutes up the street and you are within walking distance of loads of the major tourist attractions. I can recommend this hotel if you are contemplating a short break to the capital.

Nothing to complain. A satisfactory experience, pleasant. The room was a bit strange: first thing you see after opening the door is a wall, then stairs going up. Never seen one like this: you actually need to climb like 10 steps to get inside the bedroom. Then there's the restroom door, which remains always closed, and there's no way to keep it open - had to tie it with a towel. And also the Internet: the free connection was too slow, so I bought the paid one, but didn't notice any difference. However, they were kind to remove it from my checkout payment right away. But in general a pleasant stay, all went well, it was a positive experience!
