When we arrived ,the room was ready. We were thrilled but soon became disappointed on entering. The room was poky and faced a grubby ,drab wall. Next door was a staff door ,which was well used and noisy. In all fairness ,when I complained , the receptionist agreed to move us. However, we had to rush to our allotted slot at The Royal Academy and could not take them up on it. My point is that at Mayfair prices , a room of that standard should not be offered in the first place.
