I stayed at the Leonard hotel with my parents for a week-end. The hotel is conveniently located near Marble Arch and at the same time in a quiet street away from the crowds. It's decorated in a very charming and quircky style. Rooms are very different from one other in size and style (I got a quite spacious one while my parents' was much smaller) and the decor is border line between old style and decadent (however bathrooms are really nice and new). Staff was pretty cheerful, welcoming and helpful. Wi-fi is available but needs to be paid by the hour and it's not possible to connect more than one device at a time. breakfast was good but not included in the price. for the whole time we were there the elevator was not working and did not get fixed, staff was helpful in carrying our luggage up and down but still a working elevator would have been nice. also, when we asked assistance in getting a car (it was hard to find cabs), they found us a car service that had outrageos quotes and we ended up getting a cab ourselves in the street for half the price. overall a nice well-located hotel but could be be better for the prices it charges.

I have not stayed at the Leonard for about 3 years so was pleased to find that it was still as good as when I stayed before. The staff were friendly and very welcoming, although we had booked a standard room we were upgraded to a deluxe room with a fourposter bed, the room was large and comfortable the complimentary tea tray was good with lots of choice. Breakfast was good freshly cooked to order. The only negative was the squeaky floorboards from the room above which in such an old building cannot be avoided, I would certainly stay here again and I have already recommended to friends.

Room Tip: close to oxford st shops

In May 2012, I took 6 of my family, who were visiting from Barbados. We had a lovely family suite with a beautiful four poster bed and a 2 bedroom apartment, both were very spacious and over looked a quiet street. This Hotel is well located for Oxford street and Park lane, just around the corner from Marble Arch Tube, They especially wanted to see the Changing of the Guard and The Leonard is short bus journey or long pleasant walk to Buckingham Palace. We had a very nice breakfast, The staff are all friendly and helpful, they kept our luggage safe after checkout and seemed in no hurry to throw us out. I have stayed in a few places in London and am returning in September and will hopefully staying here.

Excellent location if you want to be right next to Oxford street and still be far away from the crowds. Very helpful and friendly staff. Warm, comfortable hotel.

Hotel rooms are small and in room dining menu has limited choices.

Room Tip: No lift on the 5th floor

It is at the beginning of Oxford street just 10 steps from the street. It is very close to public transportation alternatives. It is very old building and small rooms. If you are looking for convenient place to walk everywhere it may be right decision. Single rooms are really really small but it is not problem if you think just sleeping in the room!

Very nice location , helpfull staff , the rooms are clean and could be small a little but all London hotel rooms are small.

Usually I stay at hotel for sleep only , so I have not tried its food or drinks.

Stayed here on business and while the hotel was not expensive the room was rather small and poorly decorated. Service in the hotel reception and bar was fine but i will not be rushing back.
