Stayed from Thursday until Monday. Had to change room when ever got there ss the room we were given was more of a single with a double bed put in. Changing room was simple enough though. Got given a bigger room, that oddly had a kitchenette in it and was hidden behind wardrobe style doors. No remote for TV which isn't good as can't reach TV and also meant had on stick to the one channel and had constant subtitles. Breakfast was awful and tbh only found a few of the staff helpful.

We visited this hotel in Jan 2014, when we arrived our room was not ready. When we eventually gained access room 20 was actually a single room with a double bed in it , I could not walk round the window side of the bed. The storage space was totally inadequate for a double room and the housekeeping standard was dreadful. We were using this hotel as a base as we were meeting family who were staying elsewhere but when we came back at night ( usually about 10/ 11 ish ) we went to our room to find out that it had not been cleaned to standard and that dirty cups / glasses etc had not been removed .I would say to avoid this hotel unless you were absolutely desperate for a room in London. The radiator did not work so the room was freezing and the small convector heater did not work either. They housekeeping staff opened the window(about the only thing they did) so when we got back at night the room was cold and our possessions were wet.Avoid at all costs would be my advice and go to a travel lodge.

A brilliantly valued hotel in the heart of London, 3 minute walk from Queensway station and right on the edge of Hyde Park. Stayed here to visit Winter Wonderland and the Theatre.

Being on the Central Line is a direct link into the city centre and a brilliant station for connecting to the rest of London. A nice 30 minute walk gets you across Hyde Park and close to Puckingham Palace. Very nice road with some more upmarket hotels, a safe and clean area of London.

Room was good sized, comfy twin beds and breakfast was good considering it was free. Fresh juice, continental, scrambled eggs, beans, mushrooms and sausages available too. Filling and good to start your day.

We did have the room right by reception which was noisy in the night due to late arriving guests (reception 24 hour) but we were so tired from our day out we managed to fall straight back to sleep.

Friendly reception staff which is always a bonus and you are able to leave your bags with the concierge for £1 per item the next day. Again a shame they charge but £1 hardly breaks the bank.

All in all a brilliantly located, comfortable and clean hotel, I would stay again.

Room Tip: Request a room away from reception, but not in the basement as I have heard there is no phone signal...

I stayed here with my mother and sister for 3 nights in a 3 person room. The room was small but comfortable with a Nice sized bathroom. It seemed as if it was renovated recently as it was very clean and fresh.
Our room was on the ground floor (not the lower ground floor which is in the basement) so it was lit by a small window. Biggest fallback was the noise from the breakfast room in the morning, as it felt we were in it... Still, it was manageable.
Breakfast was Modest but satisfying and as for the location, the hotel is located very conveniently next to 2 tube stations routing 3 lines, so it was very easy to get everywhere.

We got a very good deal for a 2 night stay at this hotel whilst we went to see Olympia Horse show. We were 3 ladies and booked a triple room with a request not to be too far from a lift as 2 of us have walking difficulties. On our arrival at the hotel the reception staff couldn't have done enough for us. They tried to get us into our room as soon as possible and I was very impressed with their helpfulness. The room was on the ground floor just through 2 fire doors from reception. Perfect for us! It also had single beds, tea and coffee supplies > Housekeeping also called to check we were ok - that was good service! The only criticism of the room was that there was no remote control for the tv which meant changing channel defeated we ladies of a certain age. Flat screen tv was fine. The shower room was small but as I am near 5' 11 I coped. The room was very warm when we arrived so we turned the radiator off and after that it was fine, plenty warm enough.
The breakfast was fine - a cooked breakfast - with scrambled eggs, sausage, beans, mushrooms and tomatoes, then there was continental with croissants, yogurts, plentiful toast. The breakfast staff worked hard to maintain supplies and to clear the breakfast areas.
The hotel was a short walk from Hyde park, bus stops and a tube station.

the best thing about this hotel is the location; it is very close to 2 tube stations (circle line & district) which'll take you directly to most attractions without too much swapping lines and a few streets away from paddington station and several bus routes. it is also close to kensington park which would make a nice day out in the summer.

the bathroom was the only redeeming feature of the hotel itself, although it is tiny it was clean and wasnt full of grout or dingy

the entrance or foyer is very deceiving; it is large and fancy which makes you think the rest of the hotel will be when in reality it is cramped and run down. the staff looked down their noses at us as soon as we walked in drenched from the rain in our travelling gear and bags, didnt tell us how to find our room after giving us the room number and stood watching unhelpfully as we tried to use the extremely tiny 1 man lift then hand to drag heavy suitcases up the narrow stairs and through tiny hallways. it was very claustrophobic and difficult to find our way to the room as there were barely any directions and we couldnt really turn around properly in such a narrow space. we could hear everything from the neighbouring rooms and even a couple with kids across the hallway as there walls were so hollow.

house keeping rudely knocked loudly every morning very early and would come back every 10 minutes to knock again if we asked them to come back in an hour (they would come between 7am-10am when we were still getting ready) then gave us horrible looks when we eventually left between 9-10.30am. breakfast was disgusting, the scrambled eggs were dried and bright yellow, tasted like rubber and the sausage was slimy with a stretchy skin.

the hairdryer overheated after 1 minute of use and wouldnt work again until the next day leaving us with wet hair, the room was tiny and we had to sit on the bed while the other went past. the window didnt open and the curtains wouldnt close properly which meant people could probably look in if they liked as our room faced the road and pavements, it also meant you got a horrid line of sunlight streaking across your face from 7am onwards. the bed was extremely springy & hard and bruised me, it made my partners back ache

you have to pay £2 for one hour of wifi, the signal is so awful we could barely connect for 5 minutes then gave up, they let you put the wifi charge on your bill but then dont tell you you need to pay cash for it so when you try to pay by card at the end they say you still owe the wifi bill in cash and you need to go find an atm and come back which means wasted time and dragging your luggage with you as you cant leave it with them after checking out

Room Tip: pick a corner room as there is less banging, the walls are very hollow and have no concept of sound...

Stayed just one night having decided on late pre-Christmas visit to London. Saw hotel rates on internet sites and checked with hotel's own website. They offered early bird deal which was same if booked direct. £58 for bed and bed across the road from Hyde Park! Therefore was slightly wary but the reviews were reasonably reassuring. Checked in by efficient and friendly staff and found our room to be lovely and warm, exceptionally clean and had all we needed for our stay. Tea making facilities, basic toiletries and tv. The mattress creaked a little but it wasn't uncomfortable so we slept well. Breakfast offered good choice and the dining area had an annexe so there was plenty of room at the busy times. I cannot fault this hotel and will certainly be returning on our next trip to London.
