The location of the hotel was good. The staff are not very helpful. The brekfast was not good. The rooms are small and old. There was an air cond. at the room but they couldn't find the remote control so we couldn't use it. And the room was very hot for sleeping.

Stayed for a night and glad I didn't need to stay longer. Room was tiny. Bed was uncomfortable. Very noisy as our door was next to the elevator. On the other hand the lady receptionist was friendly and welcoming. The area is great - not far from Notting Hill Gate!

The hotel was at great location, staff were very friendly, and the breakfast and facilities were not only very good, they were better than I expected for the price. Portabello market, the underground, good restaurants (I recommend the tapas restaurant) and shopping nearby, yet on a quiet street, there was little to improve.

Naturally as a single I expected a small room which is typical of such London hotels however the ensuite had large thick towels, good quality soap plus good reliable hot water' There was free wifi,, flat panel TV, comfortable bed with good bedding, additional heating, fan, phone and hairdryer. There is also 24 hour reception, secure left luggage facility and a reasonable size lift. [Many such hotels do not even have a lift.] Much redecoration has been done recently and apparently the reception area is next on the list, not that there is anything shoddy about the existing one. There is even an automatic opening front door which is helpful when handling baggage and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. My accommodation deal included an excellent plentiful buffet continental breakfast in the pleasant breakfast room with cereals [including museli], juices, fresh fruit, grapefruit segments, croissants, pastries, hot hardboiled eggs, bread rolls, three good English cheeses, toast and spreads, tea, coffee or hot chocolate etc. If not included in your booking deal it costs seven pounds. A cooked course can be added for an extra two pounds and fifty pence however I did not need it.
The hotel is in a very pleasant quiet area and only 5 or 6 minutes walk from the Circle and District lines at Bayswater tube station. Queensway station on the Central Line is an extra 2 or 3 minutes walk. Paddington station is also not that far away. There are plenty of shops of all types and restaurants nearby.
Here's a hint - if traveling between Heathrow and Bayswater station with cases, to avoid lots of steps change trains at Earl's Court [Picadilly to District line] where there are lifts.

Small, friendy, and comfy. It was not loud, in a great location, and the staff was amazing. Rooms were small, but we were rarely in them. Everything was comfortable and the food at breakfast was lovely. Staff always remembered my favorite breakfast drink. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Rooms that looked out onto the street gave a great london experience.

Location in Bayswater was very handy for travelling round to good sites in London. BUT the rooms in the hotel are small and not really finished off well. We were not expecting luxury but even so we were disappointed. You can tell there is a programme of upgrading underway as they have up to date security/access for the rooms. The staff were very helpful and breakfast was fairly good if a little cramped in the breakfast room.

Location is excellent: in a quiet street, but still very near to lots of nice little restaurants and 2 tube stations.
The rooms are very small (but then London is famous for its shoe box rooms at exorbitant prices) but value/price relation is OK. My room had a new heater/air condition and a big new TV. Internet worked fine all the 4 days we stayed. The staff at reception as well as in the breakfast room are exceptionally friendly and accommodating.

Room Tip: If you travel alone, do not order a single room, they are unbearably small, get a double.
