The Hotel is average, the hall is very nice, but the receptionists are unfriendly. the room is tiny but the screen is huge, no frigobar ( not very important in winter but in summer you possibly need to put some drinks to refresh in) the bathroom is very small, the lift stopped all the time. no much choise for breakfast and you have to pay extra money to get an english one !!!! jam and butter were only choise to spread on the toast no chocolate cream at all. Hotel is situated five minutes walk to paddington underground.

Brunel hotel is suitable for school trips, great location, central, five minutes from Paddington underground. Rooms were quite clean but very small: bathroom had to be clean a little better, and there was only one power plug in the entire room. We were four males and we had to move as they put us in double bed room. receptionists were unfriendly and the breakfast was short of choise.

Nice outside and reception view, but very small and dirty rooms, wasn't possible to move in 4 inside it or open the wardrobe's door without move the bed away.
Very defective and noisy lift, and for the 4° floor you had to go upstairs by walking bringing your suitcase by yourself.
Staff was very helpful but unkind, we had to greet first otherwise they didn't greet us, the breakfast service wasn't bad but you had to pay an extra supplement for typical english breakfast, it's a little bit of shame because if you plan a trip to London you expect english breakfast to be a standard!....

the worst ever until today,
we were put in a room that own bed barely fit in the room.
can hear everything that goes on in the next room or even on the street, eg the alarm clock 06:16 of the next door neighbor.
for breakfast only served us toast and coffee, already at great cost.
only had an advantage, was very close to the metro and buses

Small rooms, very hot, dirty bathroom, mostly argumentative staff (although one man there was helpful), allocated us a double room but we asked for a twin (I even had the confirmation with me showing this). Didn't dare eat breakfast!
Plenty of better hotels in the area.
