Booked this as a special deal for one night. Didn't get a warm reception by the man on the desk - it took a while for him to check us in. This hotel has a great location close to tube station. I stayed in number 3 on the ground floor and it was very quiet possibly due to time of year and snow. The room was v spacious and equipped with kitchenette. It could do with a hairdryer in the rooms as you had to ask if you needed one. They are not very generous when it comes to bathtowels - only one each and they were small towels.

Cleanliness I have scored based on finding red lipstick on the duvet cover.

As a minimum I expect cleanliness and its a shame they didnt match my expectations.

Good things:

- good, central location.
- friendly and helpful receptionist.
- spacious and well equipped.
- good value for money.
- NCP car park nearby.

but..

bad things:

the isssues below seem to imply lack of checkings & maintenance, as I recently found out, when I stayed there:

- room was ather loud as hotel is next to a busy road.
- to my disgust I found spaghetti pasta in the water kettle.
- I found the bath room drain sink clogged up.
- the sink tab in bath room was wobbly.

Went on a shoppingtrip to London with 2 friends and to find a centrally located and reasonably priced room for 3 persons with a own bed for everyone is not easy in London!

Well this is perfect then! The space in the familyroom was, escpecially for London, superb!! 2 double beds in 2 rooms (open rooms) and a sort of living room with a sofabed. And still enough space left, it's like having 3 normal hotelrooms!

The apartment was decorated modern, a little bit with Ikea style furniture but for this price that's acceptable! Cleaning was ok, but could do a little beter, but acceptable. Beds were ok as well, not perfect but also acceptable. Shower was in bath, but good!

We slept in the basement, and it was very very quiet at night! Location is also good, a little walk to Bakerstreet tube. And it's a good area to stay! A little walk to Oxford Street and also the nice Marylebone High street area is very closeby.

The plus for me for this hotel: the space you get! And it is decorated light and fresh, it gives you a real comfortable feeling to stay at this apartment!

They don't serve breakfast, but with the kitchennette it's easy to make your own breakfast (coffee and tea provided!) or go to one of the good coffeebars like Costa, Pret a Manger etc. to start your day with a good coffee/tea and sandwich!

Only thing you should think of: they don't have a name or sign on the building! So make sure to look at the housenumbers! It doesn't look like a hotel when you walk in the street!

And there is no elevator! But that's rather normal in smaller hotels in London.

Room Tip: We had room 1B in the basement, very very quiet at night!!

This is a very basic hotel - it even encourages you to get takeaway food to eat in your room - but the rooms are relatively cheap, clean and acceptable. My room was actually quite palatial compared with some much more expensive places I have been to in London. The location is fabulous, with a bus stop outside and Baker Street tube station a block away. Free wifi.

Room Tip: The hotel does not have a lift, so if you don't want to walk up four flights of stairs, ask for...

Stayed here last week in October on business. While the hotel is nice, it wasn't for me. Friendly front desk staff, concierge was just okay. Room service very good. Gym facilities outstanding. Very quiet location--too quiet for me but might appeal to those who like to be away from hustle and bustle.

The Marylebone Inn is in a brilliant location for exploring London. It is situated on a one way street adjacent to a bus stop and only a few minutes walk from Baker Street tube and Tussaud's, Oxford Street is just around the corner too. Value for money and location I would give it a 5 star rating. It was also very clean and warm with attractive decor and new shower rooms. HOWEVER! Similar to an earlier reviewer we had booked and requested rooms according to our party's requirements ie ground floor (no stairs) one double and one to sleep three. This was overlooked and upon arrival we were shown to a claustrophobic basement room down a steep staircase meant to sleep 3 (but with no sofa bed and no room for one either) and a further room on the 3rd floor! When we said this was unacceptable we waited ten minutes for the manager (Igor) who appologised for the oversight and very quickly gave us a lovely ground floor room with a 4 metre high ceiling and lovely wooden shutters. He also gave us a basement family room, with 2 double beds and it's own small garden, sadly three of us could only have this for the one night of our weekend stay so had to pack up and move everything to the third floor the next night. Upon reaching this room it was apparent that the heating wasn't working so we were moved again to the first floor (no I'm not kidding)! 4th time lucky? Not really! Very noisy traffic as situated at the front of the hotel. Had to make up the sofa bed ourselves after being provided with sheets (I think the maid had gone home and this was obviously not a man's job!). The shower was a dribble so four of us ended up showering in the ground floor room, the screen on ours wasn't sealed properly and leaked onto the floor giving the room a musty smell. Shame really as it was a beautiful en suite. There are no mirrors near any plug sockets so hair drying (take your own btw) meant trying to catch sight of your reflection in the glass table, tv screen or microwave! There is a kettle, mini fridge, microwave, sink and cupboards but minimal cutlery and crockery (no forks!)No tea towels either but I was given an extra hand towel on request. We had a brew and made jam sandwiches and went out for brunch which suited us fine but other than that there is no provision for cooking anything unless it goes 'ping'.
I think with a bit more input from management it could be an excellent hotel. We were calling it Fawlty towers and laughing about everything by the end. I think they were glad to see the back of us (demanding northern women) to be honest but at all times were very courteous and polite. We were able to leave our cases in reception for a couple of hours after checking out which was helpful. I'd love to give it more but it all seemed a bit DIY and haphazard.
If you want clean, warm and central and don't mind looking after yourself then this place is great. If you want to be waited on hand and foot then look elsewhere!

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter , room 3 ground floor very spacious with nice ensuite shower room.
