Lets be honest. It's nothing more than a B&B in a an interesting, quaint old house in Soho. The room was tired, a bit dull, low ceilings, everything felt like it would could break. The bed was poor quality, we could hear everything in the corridor (meaning everyone else could probably hear us). All in all the hotel certainly lacked the level of sophistication we expected.

Room Tip: not all rooms have showers!

Beautiful boutique hotel, with amazing charm and history. It's like stepping back in time, yet with all the modern standards you'd expect (and need) of a modern luxury hotel.
It doesn't have a buzzing hotel bar or restaurant, which keeps the hotel nice and quiet, and it does a charming honesty bar to unwind before heading out to one the many places around London has to offer.
Location is excellent. And the staff are simply lovely!
Rooms are all individual, and very spacious.

Room Tip: The single rooms do really have single beds, but are still very spacious.

A trip in early 20th century … with such a British spirit!
A wonderful place full of charm.
Great service - really nice people.
The location in the heart of Soho is perfect to walk to any nice bar and for night life.
I'll definitely return there again

Although the location was perfect and the staff were great, the hotel left much to be desired.
A well looked after bed and breakfast is a more fitting description. The ambience is great, but both the communal areas and the room lacked all the modern and sleek comforts that most hotels in Central London offer when paying premium rates.
Definitely not good value for money.

Lets start with the good......ok...the great.....I loved this hotel.....i felt like i was staying in someones house....and like it was the 18th century....i loved that the front door (which is really a front door....) stayed locked all the time.....it made it much more private and personal. i loved that you can sit in the library or the salon in front of the fireplace - have tea served and take a meeting....i loved the rooms - they are not huge....they are not small....they truly felt like guest rooms. i LOVED that they prefer you have your breakfast in bed....(well...ok....i will!)

the bad....for me....i am not a bath person....(which i discovered on this this trip) it is way to much work to just bathe....showers are much more efficient for me....

the hotel staff was great....there had been a snafu the week before with my reservations and they were amazing in how they handled it....

the older part of the hotel does not have an elevator....so consider this before you stay in that section - the newer part does....so you are covered if its an issue....

it's in the middle of soho....although i have to say....i never hear anything so that didn't seem to matter....

great places to eat all around.....i would 100% come back here and stay....the rooms are not numbered they are named after people....and the whole place is steeped in so much history i was in heaven!!

it's not for everyone....if you are looking for a lot of modern amenities this is not the place for you....if you are ok with adventure and a different experience then you will be right at home!!
