I took my husband today for a champagne afternoon tea. All the staff were lovely and attentive. The food was great and so was the champagne. Only us in the restaurant but we still had a lovely afternoon.

We met up with several family members for the occasion of a family wedding. The hotel was clean and pleasant and the reception staff were very helpful. Parking was good. The gardens appeared attractive but the wet weather meant we didn't go out there. Friday night we ate there, the food was of good standard but there was not much atmosphere that evening. The breakfasts were superb with lots of choice. Our room was not large but well furnished. Other rooms (probably superior) were much roomier. As in many hotels the bar prices were expensive. Overall a very pleasant stay.

We were based at Hendon Hall for three nights throughout the celebrations for our wedding. We chose the hotel as it was suitably located close to our chosen venue. Knowing we were having family members coming from around the country and over seas it was important to us that the hotel was of good quality and no one was disappointed.

We stayed in a Junior Suite which had views of the garden and a very comfy 4 poster bed. The room was large in size which was fantastic and particularly useful for all of our luggage and comings and goings on the wedding day. The hotel also made a stunning backdrop for some of our official photographs.

Breakfast was of a high standard with a great choice of options. Staff were friendly, courteous and attentive throughout our stay.

We dined in the hotel restaurant on the Sunday evening and were extremely impressed with the 3 course fine dining menu. The colours, techniques, presentation and textures on the plate were superb.

Thank you to the staff at Hendon Hall for a wonderful stay, we didn't want to check out! We will be sure to return.

We were given a voucher for afternoon tea at the Hendon Hall. We were greeted at the reception and personally shown to the restaurant area. We were seated straight away and the waitress explained the various options and asked if there was anything we didn't like. The service was very friendly and personal and added to the whole experience. We were served with a three tier stand with a variety of finger sandwiches, scones, cream , jam and cakes. Without exception the food was tasty, fresh and a decent sized serving. The dining area was classical, bright and cheerful. All in all it was a lovely experience. There was plenty of free on site parking

I stayed at this hotel with my wife and our 15 months old boy, the hotel is super clean, the management and customer support were phenomenal, and on top of all that, the location, the building and the overall atmosphere of the hotel is great, I would recommend this hotel to all type of travelers, and I would definitely stay here again next time.I am in London

Lovely hotel with character. Our daughter was getting married, although not at Hendon Hall, but made it our base for family and friends due to the location. We found the staff very helpful, friendly and attentive. The rooms were clean and bed very comfortable, dressing gown, hairdryer, toiletries tea and coffee making facilities all provided. Breakfast was of a very high standard with a vast selection. Beautifully kept gardens. I would recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning.

We booked for 6 nights beginning April on our stop over in London after a nine hour flight from Miami. It has been a year since we had stayed at Hendon Hall and we had really loved it last time. Being Gold card holders they said they would upgrade us to the executive room but only for the first 2 nights and then we will have to move to the classic room for 2 nights and then shift again, we had 4 huge suitcases with us so we said that we would rather stay in one room for all our stay so the classic is fine, we checked in and realized that the bathroom had a terrible smell and could not bare to use it so we complained and as the hotel was full we agreed to move to the executive room for the 2 nights. Even here the corridor had an awful drainage smell but our room was fine so being under jet lag we just settled down. When we mentioned the smell to the receptionist she said we were the first ones reporting it, in a very condescending manner when some of the cleaning ladies had told us that they are having a problem in the hotel on some floors and the maintenance is fixing it. After the 2 nights they moved us again to the classic room which was fine but we requested at the reception if they could please try and keep us there for the next 4 nights again the same receptionist was not at all helpful till we nearly begged her and finally on the day we had to move again we were told we could stay in the same room. I would have expected much better understanding especially as we were staying for a long period. We had breakfast included with our room and we were getting it most days as room service, the ladies serving were really nice and pleasant but one day the chef didn't come so there was no hot breakfast and most days there was something missing on the trays such as jams, tea cups, salt and pepper and cutlery having said that they were very accommodating and brought the missing things quickly.
It is just sad to see these things as Hendon hall is a lovely and charming place though a little dated! We would love to stay there again but after our recent stay will have to think twice.
