Stayed for two nights, rooms big, beds low but comfortable and you do get a good nights sleep. Sitting down on them is problematic as they on wheels and they move taking you with it. The toilet facilities albeit nice are separate from the shower room, which is fine but there is no water/sink in the toilet so once you have been to the loo you have to open two doors before you can wash your hands and this is not ideal or clean - there is sufficient room in the loo for a sink so it is a shame. All other aspects of the room are fine, hairdryer by the dressing table, lights switches and television all turned off by the bed. Shampoo etc all supplied and topped up same with teas and coffees. Surprisingly also was the total change of bed linen and towels as we were only there for two nights this was appreciated. Breakfast was nice, taken to your seats and provided with hot drinks then buffet style but basic and limited choice but was ample and enjoyable. There are three bars on site, which is really good, but the best one closed at 11 p.m. which we are not used to however the others do open later. Location is perfect for getting around we were never any more than 20 mins walk from anywhere we needed, Oxford Street/Regent Street then on opposite direction as well. BEWARE!!!! You can no longer purchase a bus ticket on the actual bus - we found this out when we boarded one full of shopping after a long day on our feet and where told to get off - did speak with an Inspector at the next bus stop who explained you need to get an Oyster Card from Underground Stations or use a contactless card - which we had - we ran to catch bus and boarded at next stop to be told you cannot use the one card for two passengers?????? you need two cards - god help you if you have a large family!! but thankfully I did have two such cards and managed to get bus back to hotel. Highly recommend the Ice Bar was great fun and fabulous cocktails and just different. Le Miserables and War Horse were magic shows enjoyed them both. Would stay here again as Russell Square is beautiful lovely park in the middle with a cafe which we did not mange to use but is on a main road all the same. Our room in hotel was on 6th Floor and the views were great. I have not provided a 5 due to the toilet facilities but as already said would use again,

Stayed at the Imperial hotel russell square for 3x nights and the hotel is in a very good location for tube stations and Euston train station. The reception is very nice and the staff very very helpful, our room was average and the beds were not the best, the breakfast buffet was ok as well. The pub that is part of the hotel was very busy and a good atmosphere. Overall for the price we paid for the weekend was not to bad.

One disappointment was someone had placed a couple of plates/cups to the side of our bedroom door and they were there for a couple of days before they were collected.

I stayed for 3 nights in this hotel. It was sold as part of Luxairtours holiday package and allowed good saving (later I checked that prices were also good if you book directly on the hotel webpage - GBP 88 per night for single room).

Loved the location - within walking distance from the British Museum, Soho, West End, Baker Street etc etc. Underground station (Russel Square) 2 min walk from the hotel.

A bit old style and would benefit from renovation, but nothing to be afraid of (like I was after reading the reviews). My room had no air conditioning and was overlooking internal yard with noise from the kitchen - could be an issue for someone who is very sensitive to the quality of the air and background noise, but not for me as I came back late and dying for a sleep, and also as being a mother of two kids you can sleep in any conditions.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable.

Ladies beware - no hairdryer in the room, but can be borrowed for the length of your stay free of charge.

Wifi in the room was very week (3 floor), and not available on higher floors. There was some cable connection, did not work for me. However, free wifi is available in the lobby, bar and restaurant. which is ok for a city hotel.

Breakfast may be English (for an extra charge) or continental. Nothing extraordinary, but edible. Many pubs and restaurants in the area.

Reception team was friendly, fast and efficient.

Overall not too bad.

I stayed at this hotel recently and found it lacking in many aspects. Not a hair dryer in the room, and everything at a bare minimum. No toiletries apart from little sample soaps. Towels were small and thin. Blankets on bed, I prefer duvets. Just seemed old and tired. Breakfast was awful, it felt like being back at school. Stopped at restaurant door in a queue and then admitted into the restaurant to join queue for food, not allowed to find table first. Had to select food and then try to find a table. If you did manage to find a table it hadn't been cleared so had to wait for that. Choices were basic. cereal, 2 types of tinned fruit. toast, not even a yoghurt. Or a cooked breakfast with very cheap ingredients. We had a little wait before checking out and there wasn't even a coffee shop or proper seats, just a few bar chairs, people were just sitting on the floor!!!

Very efficient check in; room very clean - bathroom has recently been updated, it was very clean, towels, toiletries available. Breakfast was basic but enjoyable, pleasant surroundings, friendly staff, efficient service once again.
Hotel is literally round the corner from the tube station, central line, and only a short walk from Kings Cross.

Would definitely stay again if I went to London.

Room Tip: Ask for Court yard as front of hotel is on a busy road which can be noisy at night but hey, this is London after all!
