Poor premises! Bad, expensive breakfast! No services! Ugly small rooms! Terrible sound isolation! Awful rooms' interior!

The only reason I would stay at this hotel again is for the location. That is the only good thing about it. We stayed here with our 3 kids and I didn't sleep a wink. We were in a building remote from the main reception where the main front door was often left unlocked by other residents. The decor was dreary and little better than any student occomodation I've ever seen. Our 5 bed room turned out to have 7 beds and so was cramped, the carpet was stained, bunkbeds in front of windows, leaking drainage in the w/c, tiny showeroom, incredibly uncomfortable mattresses. As for complimentary breakfast - the pieces of baguette were stale and the orange juice was cheap squash. Don't be tempted to save money staying here unless you are prepared to accept this standard of accomodation!

This hotel is not expensive and budget hotel, I got what I payed for. But how can other guests expect lift in a simple hotel when you know thats mostly old buildings in London and no space to build a lift. Mostly new buildings have a lift.. So choose newer hotel or hostel and you have it! I like this hotel as clean, loacation very central and I would like to stay next time once more here.. And well, to transport my luggage in 2. or 3. floor, I see as a fitness training for free and happen as well in Dublin, Edinburg, Paris.. Bathroom same size as in in many other budget hotels and was acceptable.

Lord’s Hotel is a plain Victorian building adjacent to a small inner city park, not far from Bayswater Tube Station. The property has been knocked about, but is essentially a good solid premises. The room was clean painted in grey with complimenting curtains in brown with contemporary patterns of greys swirls and brown. There is a beige and brown picture canvas above the bed, again in keeping with the muted colours. Carpet is a beige grey weave with no particular pattern. The view from the window was ugly, but what one would expect of a Victorian hotel overlooking the back of the structure. No remote control for the TV and no guides for any facilities. Clean towels and soap were available, but no shampoo or other toiletries nor a cup for water. No coffee making facilities in the room and no lounge. However I was able to get on the internet straight away with a strong signal and the staff were quick to answer basic enquiries. The Hotel is noisy at night as sound travels round the property, but as one would expect it quieted down when people went to bed. Breakfast consisted of two sections of continental bread, butter pats and jam served on a plate with a cup of coffee or tea. It’s definitely not the Ritz, but as budget hotels go it fits the bill.

It was about what I expected. Unfortunately, I was on the third floor, and there's no elevator.
The room was basic. I had a bed, a tv, a chair, a shower, and a small bathroom.
One thing I have never figured out, is why all hotels have carpeted floors. They must be terribly hard to keep clean, so I guess they're not really clean. This room, though, had one of the most stupid things I've ever seen, though. The bathroom had a toilet and a sink, and the shower faced the room. So getting out of the shower meant stepping out onto the carpeted floor. No wonder the carpet in front of the shower was moist when I checked in. Probably always is. Seems terribly un-hygenic to me. I hate standing on wet floor, so I always stand on a towel after a shower, but I know not everyone does.
Apart from that, I guess it's just fine when you consider the price. The bed was fine, which was the most important part.
I always stay in the same area, so who knows. I might be back.

Room Tip: Only the rooms in the main building have free wi-fi, and a hair dryer, in the room.

This March I was in London. Thanks to booking via a travel agency in Romania, I managed to get a good deal at Lords Hotel. 2 persons/4 nights/220 euros, breakfast included.
Although the wi-fi didn't work (apparently there was a problem at the hotel, but somehow the reception had internet) and it was noisy when a group of travelers arrived/left, overall, it was a good experience.
There was hot water all the time and the hotel also provided soap and towels. There was heating in the room.
The hotel is close to Buckingham Palace (about 30 min walking) and also very close to two underground stops (Bayswater and Queensway).

It has definitely got much more of a hostel feel about it, and a crap hostel at it. I get its a cheap hotel but it provides no hotel features so I don't get why it doesn't say its what it is, a hostel! First it smells, old damp, not aired enough smell. Some of the reception staff were quite unfriendly.
Better off sleeping in than having the breakfast, stale piece of bread and the worst cup of tea I have ever had. Although the guy serving was really friendly.
We were put in the basement, which probably is the worst part of the building. It definitely smells down there and can hear all street noise and noise from tv lounge, a party going on for a lot of the night (again how is this classified as a hotel). Also paper thin walls. And no double bed, even though thats what we booked! Seemingly they have no double beds anywhere, but unsure what to believe. The room is not very clean. Blankets are not clean, sheets are clean however. Positive side it was cooler down there. Mattresses were quite springy. They need some new ones.
Location is grand, handy for tube and areas around.
Overall better off in a hostel and paying their prices rather than staying in this 'hotel'.
