We stayed for just one night with friends. A warm welcome from the reception staff, not entirely sure why we had to pay 1p charge to register our card although we declined a charge account! I know it's not much but it's the principle.

We were allocated a disabled access room, we are not disabled, this room is on the ground floor, twice the size of a normal room. I would say however, that the entrance into reception was up steps so difficult if you were in a wheelchair and if you were a wheelchair user you would not be able to use the shower/bath as you would need to climb into the bath.

We didn't have the breakfast as it was £15 and there are many different coffee shops/cafés locally at a fraction of the cost.

A clean and modern hotel, but not the cheapest.

The hotel is in the perfect location for seeing everything on the South Bank and the City, and overall good value we thought. It was nice to have the bar and the lounge areas downstairs with books and games. There are so many great restaurants & cafes in this part of town now we didn't use the hotel restaurant. Like a previous reviewer we were a bit disappointed with the cleanliness and condition of our "privilege" room. The bathroom was a bit scruffy and grubby and overall the room was not as nicely looked after as at the Mercure hotels we've stayed in in Bath and Oxford. So perhaps it just needs a bit more care with housekeeping? If it was up to the standard of other Mercure hotels it would be super good value for this part of town.

Room Tip: We liked having the extra space of a privilege room even though the bathroom needed a bit of cleanin...

Location is good although a bit far way of the underground. Reception was kindly. The room seems to be a bit bigger by the site. As many others hotel the room is quite dark (lack of lamps). At the check out I noticed dinner expense which was not correctly, it was ammended in few minutes.

Location: Now it's about 10 minutes away from London Bridge station, but I noticed on my way back from the hotel that there was a subway entrance which is 5 minutes away. Either way there is plenty of transportation to get you to and fro. I love the location, you have the shard which is absolutely stunning.

Value: Excellent value for money, cheaper than most other hotels but delivers better than them.

Room: My room was on the second floor, It was such a comfortable, clean room, usually I'd expect something generic like the Ibis with it's standard beds and etc. The bathroom had shower gels, soaps and shampoos as well as other little things. Plenty of towels too!. I adored how there was so much room to put stuff in, you get about four long but thin fitted wardrobes, one had shelves. They also supply you with an Iron + board and some tea and coffee items. Tv isn't that big but who cares you get free wi-fi. The bathroom was stunning. In terms of my view I was facing some office building.but that didn't bother me, I had a comfortable sleep too. Has a desk and a small round table with plenty of Lamps.

Staff: Lovely staff with smiles all around.

Overall I will definitely be coming back! You just cannot say no to good service.

Booked a premier room for a flying visit to London. Bed was really comfortable but we had paid to upgrade for some extra luxury. Therefore disappointed not to be told the drinks in our mini fridge were complimentary (we are not mind readers!). Overall the standard of housekeeping was poor coffee and milk not restocked; the bathroom tiles were dirty . The lift is really small and inadequate for luggage .
Having previously stayed in Accor hotels found this one a let down particularly as it had supposedly been recently refurbished and there was literature describing it as a flagship hotel !

We stayed at this hotel over the weekend for a business purpose.
The hotel is about 5-10 mins walk from Southwark station, which is not too bad if the weather is good... however, there is a bus just outside the hotel which could take you direct into the city center.
Room is good and clean, nice big bed, bathroom is clean and I was surprise to find a bath tub where I enjoyed nice hot bath! but if you have a particular taste about the style of bathroom, leave the page now.
Very good breakfast selection, the ambience of the breakfast is very relaxing and there is no question about the hotel services.
Oh, most importantly, Wi-Fi speed thumb up!!
