“Cold and impersonal”

Travelled from Scotland to London to celebrate anniversary. Unfortunately my husband became very ill and it was necessary to return home. On checking out the receptionist commented that we had paid for another night and when I explained my husband was very ill, there was no reaction, it was like I hadn#'t spoken. I found all the staff, apart from the doorman, to be like this. My comment on the room. We upgraded to an executive but found it small, carpet hadn't been cleaned - there was an old bottle top lying by the bed. Buffet breakfast was luke warm. Couldn't recommend this hotel.

I have been twice at 'the rembrandt' and I must say it is a very nice hotel. ideally located in front of 'victoria & albert museum', a few steps from south kensigton station (quite convenient to move around London), and 5 minutes' walk from 'harrods'. staff is very kind, rooms clean and comfortable, with the plus of the gym located just ouside the entrance (but with a private access directly from the hotel).
rich breakfast in the morning, with many different foods: from swetts to eggs and bacon, from dry fruit to salami, etc. etc.
I will stay there again, for sure! ; -)

Nice hotel and friendly staff, but we were given a room looking out onto Thurloe Place which was very noisy all night! We had been doing a lot of walking so didn't have a problem sleeping, but for light sleepers, the traffic noise would definately keep them awake. Bathroom was freezing cold - no heating, so shower had to be turned on to heat the place up before hopping in! The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced, and the buffet breakfast had a good choice although perhaps a little slow in replenishing hot food, glasses etc. All in all, I would recommend this hotel and probably even stay there again on my next trip.

We stayed at the Rembrandt Hotel in South Kensington for my hen weekend. It's a great place to go because it has a spa as part of the hotel. The spa facilities are simple but all that you need, gym with weights, swimming pool, sauna & steam. The location is great too with Harrods just 5 minutes walk and the hotel is opposite the Victoria & Albert Museum (not that we had a chance to go!). We walked to Buckingham Palace one morning and it took around 25 mins. There were 10 of us staying at the hotel but other friends joined us in the daytime and for around £15 were allowed to use the spa facilities. The treatments were very relaxing and the staff incredibly friendly and helpful, I even got a useful demo on how to firm up my abs! The breakfast is buffet style and we were unable to eat lunch on both days as had filled up so much at breakfast! There is full English, continental, healthy options, pastries, cold meats, cheese - all you could ever need. The rooms were nice too and they are flexible about the arrangements as some of our rooms had 3 people in them. All in all a great place to stay with the added bonus of spa facilities - something that is hard to find in a central London location. I would certainly stay at the Rembrandt again : )

First I'd like to express my gratitude to the chef's there. The food in the hotel was awesome, especially the complimentary breakfast..DON'T miss it!! Another thing is the location to the many museums in the area. Very close to the Natural History..another place you could miss an entire day and not know it. Overall great first trip to London. We want to go back and stay there again

Enjoyed an overnight stay in an executive room which we found to be well appointed and very clean. Safe, jacuzzi tub, robes, complimentary internet, coffee/tea were some of the features included. Great full English breakfast with lots of choices added to making the Rembrandt a good value.
Location for museums and shopping is excellent. Harrods is a easy five minute walk.

We stayed here on a Friday and Saturday night. The hotel is right opposite the V&A museum, so is in a great position for all the other museums in the area, as well as being just round the corner from South Kensington tube station. The hotel is clean, and the rooms a nice size. The breakfast is buffet style, and was very good, with attentive staff for tea and coffee. Although pricey, the bar/lounge is very comfy with one TV showing news and another showing live sport. If you don't want to see the TV's, plenty of the comfy sofas face away from the screens. All in all, a heartily recommended hotel.
