To be honest, there is not a lot of choice in the area. This hotel offers the very basic accommodation. Our was en suite which consisted of a student type corner "pod" with toilet, sink & shower. The furnishings are "tired" but it seemed clean enough.
I would not recommend this hotel unless you have no viable alternative in the area.

Room Tip: If possible take a look before booking.

Four of us spent one night at this hotel in order to visit relatives who live nearby. Okay, it is a bit dated, but our three rooms were very clean and neat and we spent a comfortable night there.

Our breakfast was served in a lovely basement dining room with cereals, toast and a cooked breakfast. Tea and orange juice also accompanied the meal. The Albanian lady serving the breakfasts was very friendly and helpful as was the owner when we paid the bill.

I would definitely stay here again in future and the room prices were very reasonable for London.

Room Tip: Try to get a room at the back as the main road to the front is very busy

Well it’s not 5 star luxury but it is all of the above. We stayed in room ‘K’ which is at the back of the house with nice views over the well kept gardens and beyond and very quiet at night; we got 2 good nights sleep there. When we arrived, we had to ask for the heating to be put on, a blown bulb to be replaced and for extra pillows for the bed; these were supplied with no fuss at all. The room is as big as any other hotel of its size with a good telly and tea making facilities, but the main thing is that the room and bedding were very clean and unmarked, as were the bathroom and toilet out on the landing. This particular room has a shower, toilet and washbasin cubicle in the corner which were also spotless but OH SO tiny!! I think it would be a bit of a struggle getting in and using the facilities if you are a bit tall or ‘well built’. The breakfast is limited to an hour so we missed out on the last morning as it was too early to get up. The first morning we had a ‘full’ breakfast, which should be called a ‘half’ breakfast as there was only a single rasher of bacon, one egg and some beans (these were good though). However there were plenty of cereals, tea and toast to fill up on and the breakfast room is also very clean and pleasant. I would have no hesitation in using this hotel again.

My daughter and I spent 3 nights in October at the Diana Hotel in Dulwich. We wanted to be in South London within reach of Mainline station and Herne Hill. We found it very clean and comfortable and would stay there again if I needed to return to London.

Room Tip: En-suite room with twin beds

We stayed there for 2 nights when I daughter was airlifted to Kings college hospital after being involved in hit and run, There was an intial smell when entering, and is in need of some decorating, our room was clean and tidy, although some decorating was needed, did try the hairdryer but it was not making a nice noise, the bathroom was new, with wooden laminated flooring, new shower etc, clean towels, downstairs is in the dining room, is very clean and tidy, we did not eat breakfast there, as on weekends breakfast is only hour slot, and both days we missed it. The hotel is good enough as somewhere to lay your head, but then what else do you want from a B & B, if we were up that way again, we would use it again

I booked this B and B prior to reading reports on Trip Advisor, simply because I needed to be in the area, and there is nowhere else to stay. On arrival, I thought that yes, the reports are definitely right - the decor would have been dated 30 years ago, probably not decorated since well before that, and the place smells of stale cooking. Worse, the room we were given was off an inside corridor which absolutely stank of stale cigarettes. However, the room was spotless, albeit dated in decor, the bed was spotless and comfortable, and what was described as the "en suite" - which actually was no more than a cupboard, was also spotless. However, unfortunately it was so small that you could not sit on the toilet without your knees against the back of the door, the door handle came over the wash basin, and the shower was so small it was not worth the bother of attempting to manoevre oneself into it.

However, the bad faults were to some way compensated by the cheap rate of the room - bed and breakfast for two people in London for £70 is pretty cheap.

Also. we noticed that the fire escape door in the basement breakfast room/bar, was actually bolted!

However, with some money spent on some paint - please get those bannisters painted with some white gloss paint, and some plain clean wallpaper throughout, the owners could make a lot of money with its location - close proximity to London, park, Dulwich, Dulwich picture gallery, and Dulwich College.

Breakfast was not great, but adequate - choice of 3 or 4 cereals, orange juice, very basic "full" english breakfast consisting of one rasher of bacon, one egg and spoonful of beans, toast and jams, but plentiful tea and coffee.

I would stay there again if absolutely necessary as there is no where else, but only for one night!

Room Tip: Ask for one that does not smell! Rooms at the back are quiet and the upstairs ones have a good open...

Stayed here one night as we were attending a wedding nearby. Everything was extremely basic and totally impersonal. Sheets and tiny en suite were clean but carpet stained and curtains and decor in need of complete renovation. Breakfast miniscule. This hotel is in the business of taking money for the bare minimum it can get away with.

Room Tip: Go to another hotel!!
