“Ponds and parks for a hot day”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

Something different, and easy to reach by tube: a great park, and several refreshing ponds. There is one for ladies only. Great location for a picnic. There is also a marvelous mansion full of art, with a nice cafe.

“Elegant Area”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

I have worked on and off in Hampstead for over 40years.it is an elegant area.It has changed ,for the worse over the years.there used to be an excellent butchers, but now he is gone.Once upon a time I would go to the Everyman for a Marx Bros triple bill for less than a fiver. Now it will cost you about £12.Pubs have closed, supermarkets opened. However it still retains a village air.Walk through the cobbled byways or Church Walk and you could, apart from the traffic,be in the 18th century.Plenty of famous names in the Hampstead cemetery.so go and have a look.

“Lovely!”
Reviewed 5 August 2013

Hampstead is a lovely neighbourhood in north London, around the huge Hamptead Heath. Just walk around it is good enough, but there are very interesting tourist attractions, like Keats House, Fenton House, Church Row, Flask and Well Walk, etc. You will find nice and traditional pubs as well. Just take the Nothern Line up north till Hampstead station

“Hampstead Village.”
Reviewed 7 April 2013

A visit to this 18th century village is a great experience..Wonder the tiny streets with its 18/19th century cottages and who knows rub shoulders with your idol of the theatre or the cinema screen..
A walk through Flask Walk and down Willow Road where I used to live ,as a matter of fact, and Willow Cottages the 19th century terrace that were built for the Hampstead Water Cress Pickers..
Visit Keats House and then a stroll accross Hampstead Heath the largest open area in the city with its lakes and wooded areas...
In the village are small pubs that serve good food...
I could carry on...but I must leave something for you to discover...
Enjoy..It will be one of the highlights of your stay..

Hampstead is a peaceful town and a great place to escape the city. I would highly recommend the Hamstead walking tour.
