Whether interested in warfare and history or not this is worth a visit for the quality of the displays and realism that it conveys. It is part of our history and is well worth a visit on any trip to London.

The rooms were like visiting an historic time frozen in place. Most of the exhibits had life like models with period pieces that showed the rooms just like they were in 1945. The exhibits were exceptionally well done and interesting.

The attached Winston Churchill museum was also excellent. A lot of interactive displays and films that made it like a tour of Winston's life.

At £17.50 entrance fee, this is not a cheap exhibition , but probably worth it . You get to see what life would have been like during the war years in this massive underground world .it shows the rooms as they would have been during this time . Without the comforts of air con it must ve been awful as smoking was very popular then and Churchill and a lot of officers smoked , imagin how uncomfortable it would ve been!
There is a massive Churchill museum under ground too. Children who are learning or have learnt about the war would find this very interesting ,lots of interactive things to do .lots of films etc .
Not for the very young ,awkward with pushchairs etc.
Allow about 2 hours.for the tour and museum.

This visit was one of the highlights of our trip. It's a great museum. Make sure to go early as lines can get pretty long. It's educational without being boring.

Great audio guide, fun interactive timeline in the museum. It's very cool to see some of the rooms just as they left them when Churchill and his senior advisers shut the door behind them when they walked out at the end of WWII, with the old dial telephones on the desks, maps on the walls, etc., and even a piece of graffiti on one of the maps (where someone drew Hitler).
