I took my nephew to visit and we were not disappointed. The guided audio tour made everything come to life at our own pace. It was like stepping back in time and the layout really brought home how the rooms were used.

If you really have the time, try and spend it here. The amount of detail is breath-taking. Admittedly, when there are a lot of visitors, it is a little claustrophobic, but once you get into the main rooms, the exhibits are little short of remarkable.

I went with my 8 year old son, who is obsessed by the war. It is so authentic, the way the tour is laid out is utterly absorbing and transportational. The Museum bit is quite dark, and maybe better for slightly older kids. There is alot to see, and grasp, but I think the museum curators have done a truely marvellous job at showing the diversity and complexity of this great man's life. As well as a properly absorbing way of showing the life in the War Rooms though the war.

This is included in the London Pass and was a place that I had wanted to visit for a number of years. Entering the war rooms is exactly light stepping back into history with the rooms set out exactly like they were at the end of the war. Wonderful for history buffs.

These are the war rooms from where Churchill and the British government directed the war effort during WW2. They have been left pretty much "as is", frozen in time from after the end of the war. Even our teen daughters were fascinated and rated it as one of the best museums they had visited in London. Very educational and well worth a visit.
